    Repeated Attempts to Contact Property Went Unanswered

    I am very disappointed with the lack of communication from Sandman Oakville.I left a curling iron valued at approximately $270 in my room and have been trying for almost a week to reach someone. I left three voicemail messages with housekeeping, a voicemail for the manager, submitted a message through the website, and contacted Head Office. Head Office replied once asking which property I stayed at, and after confirming Oakville, I received no further response.I also attempted to contact the front desk on four separate occasions at different times of day. Calls were not answered. On the one occasion my call was picked up, I was placed on hold and waited over 30 minutes before hanging up. Subsequent calls again went unanswered.While I understand that lost items are not guaranteed to be recovered, the complete lack of acknowledgment or follow-up is unacceptable. During our stay, the 4th-floor hallway showed significant wear, with visible scratches along the corridor, which further reinforced the impression that both the property and guest concerns are not being adequately attended to.This experience has significantly impacted my confidence in the level of care and customer service at this property.
