Perfectly Fine hotel, odd location without a car

    rating30 Apr 2026

Everything in the hotel is nice and new. No complaints about anything, the gym had weights up to 50 and a few treadmills and elliptical machines. Breakfast looked pretty good, but I skipped it. The location is a bit odd if you don't have a car, there are a few places to walk to, but mostly it seemed like it would be better to uber or have a car to get more choices.

Travelling with a team? Go somewhere else!

    rating11 Apr 2026

We recently stayed at this hotel as part of a youth hockey team and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. From the start, it was clear that the hotel was not accommodating or welcoming to hockey teams. While we understand that teams can be energetic, the staff’s attitude was noticeably negative—especially toward parents and players simply trying to socialize in common areas. Instead of working with us, the approach felt overly strict and unwelcoming.More concerning were the safety and operational issues during our stay. At one point, several of our kids became stuck in the elevator, which was extremely stressful for everyone involved. In a separate incident, a child was locked in a bathroom due to a malfunction. These situations were not handled with the urgency or care you would expect, and they significantly impacted our experience. Because of these issues, our team was delayed and nearly missed a scheduled hockey game—something that is completely unacceptable when traveling for a tournament.Additionally, there were serious issues with my reservation. I was charged approximately $100 more per night than the rest of our group. I called two weeks in advance to resolve this and was offered a 15% discount, which was not honoured at check-in. After addressing this with the front desk twice during our stay, the concern was brushed off and I was simply given a business card for a booking coordinator who was not even working over the weekend—leaving no opportunity for resolution. The only positive aspects of our stay were the pool facilities, which the kids enjoyed, and the housekeeping staff, who were pleasant and helpful.Hotels that regularly host sports teams typically have systems and a level of understanding in place to balance guest comfort with team needs. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here.If you are traveling with a hockey team or any youth sports group, I would strongly recommend choosing a hotel that is more experienced, accommodating, and better equipped to handle group stays. Craig Cassidy, General Manager at SpringHill Suites by Marriott Toronto Vaughan, responded to this review Thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry to hear about your experience and sincerely apologize for the concerns you encountered during your stay. What you’ve described particularly regarding safety incidents, service interactions, and billing issues does not reflect the standard we strive to provide. We take these matters seriously and will be reviewing them with our team to ensure improvements are made, especially when hosting group stays. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the pool and found our housekeeping staff helpful, and we will be sure to share your kind comments with them. Please feel free to contact us directly at the hotel so we can address your billing concerns and discuss your experience further.

    A good stay!

    rating30 Mar 2026

This is the first time I find this hotel brand in Toronto thanks to the latest Promotion from Marriott Bonvoy. The entrance is spacious and tastefully decorated which suits the relaxed atmosphere. The welcome gift for the Bonvoy Elite members was well packed with two bottles of water and other goodies.Yet the door lock took me some time to figure it out since I need to insert the card vertically and take it out fully while the green light is still on, then pull down the handle to open the door. Needless to say this challenge makes me feel quite accomplished and boosted my confidence in the security for the hotel even when there is no need to swipe the card for the elevator. But the wonderful surprise is to find myself being upgraded to a jacuzzi room! It is a big one which can accommodate two adults with automatic drying function after all the water is drained. (A brief noise, but that’s how I found out about it and hope this function will make it easier for the house keeping staffs after I check out.) The shower also has two extra “message” jets in the middle which is another feature of luxury. Toilet is totally separated in another room with its own basin. Two different types of robes were in the closet, but I didn’t see any slippers. No scenery is to be expected in this industrial area and I found the only window is facing Hilton’s Homewood Suites. Thunderstorms were expected for the evening, but I slept soundly nonetheless. The breakfast is very decent with quality foods. I was especially happy when one of the servers (Niki) found me a “regular fatty” (but more nutritious in my opinion) yogurt when I made the inquiry. The used plates and the utensils were cleared off the table quickly and all the servers were friendly and courteous. Complements to the managers: These staffs are well trained indeed. The final icing on the cake is the efficiency of the front desk lady at the checkout counter yesterday morning for the speeding post of my stay on the BonVoy app (even with the promotion points!). This is the hotel I will definitely come back in the future.

    Comfortable affordable stay

    rating05 Nov 2025

We stayed at SpringHill Suites Vaughan for a SickKids appointment for our daughter, and it was such a great experience. The rate was a fraction of what downtown hotels charge, yet the comfort and service were top-notch. Our room had two queen beds and a trundle bed which was a very welcomed change from the springy pull-out couch she’s used to! She said it was super comfortable. The room layout was unique, with the powder room separate from the shower, but we actually really enjoyed that design. The complimentary breakfast was excellent with plenty of options for everyone. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

    A very nice experience

    rating03 Nov 2025

We stayed for two nights in a room with a king size bed and trundle bed. That was all that was available due to late booking. The front desk staff were so kind, as were the employees at the onsite food preparation area. The room was very clean. The bathroom arrangement was a little odd with one room with a sink no toilet and the other with a sink and shower, but it was fine. Also, the shower had fantastic water pressure and had jets for your back! Fantastic at this price point. The included breakfast was quite good, and offered the most delicious and flaky croissants we had ever had. Can’t get anything like that in the US. We would not hesitate to stay here again in the future.
