  The Marriott’s location in the heart of Toronto and adjacent to the Eaton Center is a huge plus. The front desk staff were pleasant and friendly and our room was reasonably sized and very clean. However, the food and service quality at Trios Restaurant was average at best. Although it was not busy, we waited close to 30 minutes for our bill on a Sunday night. Colleagues of mine reported similar concerns. I’m unsure if the location justifies the higher nightly rate compared to other hotels in the vicinity.

  Excellent Location, Service, and Stay!

  4.5/5 stars!First time vacationing to Toronto, first time at this hotel. As Marriott members, I look for Marriott's when I travel and I loved the location of this hotel. We also got a decent Military rate, always appreciated. I was booked here with my mother for 4 nights (May 5-9, 2026). We had a very early flight and arrived at the hotel at around 9am. We were offered to checkin early for $75. As it was early, and we had been up so early, I took it. However, I did assume it was just $75, not plus tax. I was surprised to see it over $80 on our bill as that was not explained to me. While we did enjoy getting to the room earlier than expected, I likely won't splurge like that in the future. They will store your bags, way cheaper!Our room (1427) was excellent. Great view. Two double beds. Lots of space. Bathroom was great with wonderful shower pressure. The housekeeping at this hotel is beyond amazing. I hope this hotel knows what gems they have. We wanted for nothing. Room was always cleaned beautifully. I was leaving one afternoon to get ice (machine was broken on our floor) and one of the housekeepers insisted that I should relax and she got our ice. We got two (2) water bottles each day. They noticed that I traveled with mouthwash, and left us one on the 3rd day. They left us notes, wishing us a wonderful stay, thanking us for staying with them. I have three notes on the room itself; 1.) The TV was awful. The hotel has on the website that you can use your Netflix account. We got it to work for 30 minutes the first night, then never again. I would login, it would say "try again" over and over. We switched to Youtube. That worked but the TV would have to reboot every 30 minutes (we would get a notification) and then I would have go back and login again. I was disappointed by the lack of options for a Marriott (no other streaming services). We did let the front desk know about the TV issue when we checked out. 2.) The pillows are not great in the bed. Quite hard, although the bed itself was comfortable. 3.) The in-room coffee pods. We got one regular and one decaf each day. Please, with two adults in a room, can you put in two regular as standard? We asked housekeeping on our 3rd day and received more but, I thought this would be standard. The restaurant. We went for breakfast one day. When I checked in we were offered to upgrade to breakfast with our room daily, I said no because we won't do breakfast daily. The one day we did it, I made a reservation and, when we checked in, they insisted that our room came with breakfast. I kept saying no. They kept arguing with me. We were told to scan our key at the lounge area, and it didn't work. We went back, explained again that breakfast did not go with our room and that we made a reservation. Finally we were sat in the main dining room. Would I recommend breakfast? Not really. We did not do the buffet because it was $40/person and I did not see enough to justify that price. We got two regular breakfast, two coffees. $75 with tip. Neither of us felt like it was worth the price. it was an okay breakfast, not great. Our eggs were very overcooked and not wonderful. I am also worried because, later that day, I received notification that our breakfast reservation was cancelled due to not showing up. Um...we did show up. I charged it to my room. I am worried because, when I made my reservation, it said if you did not show up, they would charge $25/person. Later that day I went back to the restaurant to check and was told we would not be charged but, I am still watching my credit card. You can also grab and go here. I would suggest that. We got two coffee and a bagel to share one day, $12 plus tip. All we needed (which is why I did not add on breakfast!!). Location: PERFECT!! You are right next to Eaton Centre. Lots of dining options. Even lots of options to get coffee and a cheap breakfast (McDonald's in the food court, maybe 7 minute walk total, Tim's too). We did the City Sightseeing Bus tour and the pickup was on the other side of the Eaton Centre. Lots of places to eat on Yonge Street, Dundas, etc. You will not go hungry. Gift shop in the hotel is okay, not the best but you can get basics. Overall, would we stay again? Yes. I think the location was amazing. The service was incredible. We were helped with our bags going to the hotel and then leaving for the airport. I would travel with my Roku next time so we can get better TV. I would not bother with the hotel restaurant but, that is my personal opinion. They have in-room dining. The QR code would not work the entire time we were there. The internet is tricky to get onto as well (make sure you are a rewards member).

  Excellent customer service since we arrived!! Perfect location, very clean hotel and room!! The room is not to big but comfortable!! I’ll stay here again!!

  I stayed at the Toronto Marriott Downtown Eaton Centre for a few nights and overall had a very positive experience. The location is unbeatable, especially for anyone visiting downtown Toronto, with easy access to shopping, transit, and major attractions. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet despite being in a busy area, and the staff were professional and welcoming throughout my stay.I did notice that the hotel offers some environmentally friendly options, such as towel and linen reuse and reduced housekeeping services, which I appreciated. However, these sustainability efforts were not very clearly explained, and it wasn’t obvious how participating actually made an impact. I think clearer communication about these programs, either in the room or during check-in, would make guests more aware and more willing to take part.Overall, the hotel delivered a high-quality stay with strong service and comfort. With more visible and engaging communication around sustainability and community initiatives, the experience could be even better and more aligned with what many guests value today.   The Marriott Eaton Centre is our favourite Toronto hotel for family visits. We just spent three nights over Christmas and, as usual, very much enjoyed our stay. Friendly helpful staff (the receptionist insisted on walking us to the door that provides easy access to the Eaton Centre, and showing us how to re-enter through the self locking door), very comfortable bed, excellent large shower and the perfect location (for us).Just a couple of suggestions; please bring back guest slippers as they are perfect for cold mornings on the tiled bathroom floor and, while the new toilet paper dispensers are fine, the quality of tissues could use an upgrade.
