    Side trip worth the time

    This was such a great surprise.The town itself was old, and new at the same time.The food in the restaurant's in the town was fantastic. Though a bit pricier than I had anticipated.The Comfort Inn, was a great place to stay. They have a lookout right off the parking lot.I can't say enough good things about this town.

    Old Hotel that Needs an Elevator!

    This is an old 2 story hotel without an elevator. We had to lug our luggage up to the 2nd floor. It was an effort. Unless you are young and strong, get a room on the 1st floor or look elsewhere! The room had a 21” TV with non-HD TV channels. It had a standard continental breakfast- eggs, sausage, bagels, fruit, waffle machine, coffee & juice. The hotel needs new carpeting throughout the building.The room was clean and the shower had excellent water pressure.

    I’m here and we CANT buy anything here with a card , the vending machine they are so *old* only take cash And no possibility to buy anything from the front desk because of hey got NOTHING to sell!!!! No water, pop, chips etc etc….Very frustrating !!!

    This hotel is located across the bridge in shawinnigan, about a five minute drive to downtown. Has hot breakfast (microwaved) scrambled eggs., and sausages, cereal. Rooms were clean. Free parking. I would stay here again if I was in the area.

    Hotel is located away from amenties and downtown. No elevator, no coffee machine or equipment for hotwater in our room. Hotel was clean, house keeping and staff were correct and continental breakfast included in price was reasonable. Poor quality v.s. price for what you get.
