    Needed somewhere for a night near downtown Vancouver and at reasonable price and this fitted the bill. Not the prettiest place and could do with a revamp outside and in bar but staff friendly and room was clean and well provisioned. Air con was ancient and deafening but we didn’t need it. We were happy with what we got and location but maybe wouldn’t be our choice for more than a night.

    Room clean but a little dated.Room above busy road, constant road and street noise, being above the hotel bar and restaurant did not help.Single glassed windows had no effect on reducing noise

    Stayed here a night after a flight from Cancun . Hotel seems a bit old but it was clean and staff were very friendly . Our flight out was later that day and they let us leave our luggage and bags there after check out so we could walk to Stanley Park which wasn’t too far . Lots of options on restaurants and things to do at this location. Thanks BW Sands , cheers !

    Nice and clean and updated older hotel. Walls and windows are thin so you can't sleep in. Lots of noise from cleaning staff and people working outside. An easy and walkable location to many restaurants, stores, cafe's, and the beach. Was difficult to find the parking lot and the parking is very tight.

    Room 327, 3 nights.The good: Location, renovated rooms, views, decent breakfast at pub (not included in room price).The bad: Where do I begin....Parking facility in the rear is inadequate for space, why is it not secured? Anyone can break in ...the alley has plenty of drug users and homeless. Room windows are paper thin, bring ear plugs, you will need them, regardless of the floor. So much street noise, barely slept.Mouse trap in room, and everywhere in public areas, I witnessed a mouse in the lobby several times. Bed was ok, pillows are terrible, and what's with the plastic tags on the pillows?Overall, this is one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at. No point in having newer looking rooms if you feel you have the same noise inside the room as outside. Mouse problem should have city health inspections there on a regular basis. I've stayed in other downtown Vancouver hotels in the past, none have ever had this problem.
