  Awful motel that tarnishes the Coast brand.

  We decided to try this place because of the location and assumed that since was a Coast hotel it would be decent. We were wrong.They don't have nearly enough parking and we ended up parking across the city street on the shoulder. There's no elevator. When we walked in the room at 11:30PM the staff had left the AC off and the room was 27° (81F). It took more than an hour for the small but very loud window unit to cool the place down enough to sleep. We could feel springs sticking up through the mattresses and the road nose was unbelievable, with motorcycles and cars revving their engines outside until after 1 AM. If it hadn't been so late we would have walked out and gone elsewhere. After being in this awful hotel for a while we wished we had left despite the time.The location doesn't excuse the miserable experience this place offers. Drive a bit and there are actually decent options for less money.

  It was a pleasure to check in, the front office staff were amongst the most friendly I have ever experienced at a hotel. Very impressed! From the offer of water and snacks at the front desk, to the quietness of the rooms, I was impressed. I'll be back!

  We just got back from 3 nights at this hotel.We are booked in May for one night too. We are taking a cruise and will now book an extra night for when we get back. We loved this place so much. We couldn’t have been made more welcome. We were shown our rooms(we had 2 rooms), by a lovely lady on the front desk. We stay in hotels a lot and have never been taken to the room. Just given a key card. She gave us, chips, candy and water bottles.Then took us outside and showed us where to get the bus and sky train. The room was spotlessly clean. Bedding was all fluffy and comfortable. Lots of hot water at all times of the day.Lots of bath towels, face cloths and hand towels. The soap, body wash, shampoo and conditioners were all full size bottles.They have a coffee machine in room. They also have a drinks machine with all types of hot drinks in the lounge area. A water machine to fill your water bottles. They have an absolutely beautiful sitting area outside. I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. From check in to check out. Staff go above and beyond to help you. The price is extremely cheap. With its free coffee and parking, you are saving a fortune. Parking in any other hotel in that area is $30/$50 a night. We saved at least $15 a day in Starbucks coffee too.

  Great option outside of downtown

  Were offered an upgrade on arrival to a room with a kitchenette. We also were able to check in earlier. The room was clean. The entire property had a reno in the Fall of 2023. The room had a basket of snacks which was a nice surprise. Comfortable bed and pillows. Lovely courtyard. Excellent coffee machine in the lounge. Quite close to a skytrain station.It would be nice to have a wall mounted make-up mirror in the bathroom (within reach), and a full length mirror in the room.

  After the terrible reviews I was hesitant to reserve a room.Upon arriving we were greeted by a lovely lady at reception, who quickly and efficiently got us checked in. Afterwards she even gave us bottled water and snacks, wow! As far as the rooms, let me assure you, they have done a fantastic job of renovating the property. The rooms are well appointed, with Keurig coffee makers, a microwave and a refrigerator. There is also an automated, high-end coffee maker in the lobby that dispenses everything from regular coffee to mocha lattes. No breakfast but the Wendy’s across the road has lots of inexpensive breakfast options. We bought some breakfast sandwiches, got our coffees from the lobby, and enjoyed a quiet meal in the inner courtyard. The only suggestion I would give is to request a room on the opposite side of Grandview. It is a bit noisy as it’s a busy road.
