    I like the area.

    rating12 Apr 2026

The room was clean, and looked like it had been fairly recently updated. the room was small, but adequate. It was within walking distance of Richmond Mall, and the skytrain station there were many restaurants and other hotels nearby . I scheduled a airport shuttle for the morning and the hotel actually called a taxi to get me an another guest to the airport. We were also handed and little breakfast bag as it was too early for the complementary breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.

    One happy camper

    rating02 Mar 2026

As a fussy traveller when it comes to accommodations, I had my concerns about this place, considering it was for 9 days. I will state up front that this was one of my best stays ever/anywhere. VERY quiet, very clean, very safe, we had a room beside the elevator and never heard it. The hotel is Smaller in size and more personable, the rooms looking out the back at Minoru Park are even quieter. After 9 breakfasts, the food could be changed up a bit, maybe with round sausages and some no-stick spray for the waffle maker. Still, you will leave with a full belly. The front desk staff and especially the breakfast room lady/attendant were all wonderful. We would definitely stay again.

Extremely unprofessional experience involving staff conduct.

    rating01 Jan 2026

Extremely unprofessional experience involving staff conduct.Jan 1, 2026, 5:20 PMI agreed to meet an employee at the Comfort Hotel Airport in Richmond after he asked for help jump-starting his car for an agreed fee. I drove over 30 minutes from Vancouver to the hotel. When I arrived and messaged him asking where he was, he blocked me and stopped responding. I waited outside while there was no communication.About 10 minutes later, I saw him come outside and greet someone else. When I calmly asked if he was the person I had arranged to meet, he denied being that person. I went inside the hotel and asked another staff member, who confirmed that it was indeed him. While this was a personal interaction, it occurred on hotel property and involved misleading behavior by an on-duty employee. It wasted my time and created an uncomfortable situation. If this reflects the standards of professionalism here, I would be cautious about staying at this hotel. This interaction negatively affected my perception of the Comfort Hotel brand.I am willing to share further details with management if requested. Hetal Maniar, Guest Services / Front Office at Comfort Vancouver Airport Hotel, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We take all reports of unprofessional behavior very seriously. Upon investigation, we have confirmed that the individual mentioned is not an employee of Comfort Hotel Vancouver Airport. This person misled others by falsely claiming to represent our hotel, which is harming our brand reputation. Please be assured that we will be taking appropriate action to address this matter. We apologize for any confusion or frustration this incident may have caused and appreciate you bringing it to our attention.Kind regards,Comfort Hotel Vancouver Airport

    Epic Fail

    rating15 Dec 2025

I had really hoped to boost this hotel’s rating after our stay, but I cannot possibly do that. We chose this hotel for the airport shuttle and breakfast and those were fine. When we went to bed I thought to myself “the sheets feel cool”. Then I placed my hand to my side and the bed was thoroughly wet and cold! My nightgown is damp now which was pretty gross. Throwing back the sheets there was a giant circle of a wet spot from a saturated mattress. The comforter was dry. I promptly called down to the front desk and someone came up. We were moved to another room (it smelled really off) and then one more room. We threw back the covers in both these rooms to check the mattresses. It was getting late and we had a morning flight so we stayed in room #3, but we had to put the bathmat on the floor in front of the fridge because the carpet in this room was wet. The next morning I brought the wet mattress issue up with the front desk and was told no one in housekeeping was aware of why a mattress would be wet. It was implied I was incontinent and I caused this. Lovely way to start our travel day/vacation to be degraded this way.The hotel says “We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced during your stay and for the multiple room changes. The issue you described with the first room is unacceptable, and we are truly sorry for the discomfort it caused.Your comment regarding the interaction with our staff is very concerning, and we will be addressing this matter with our team to ensure it does not happen again.”End of story for them, hence the one star.

    It's now a Comfort Inn.

    rating17 Sept 2025

When a chain hotel lives up to the chain's standards, I rate it a 4. This Quality Inn has been re-branded by Choice Hotels as a Comfort Inn--corporate is trying to make their four main brands consistent, and they've decided that a Quality Inn is more like a motel--no elevators, minimalist rooms, limited free breakfast--and heree there is an elevator, the room is nicely appointed, and the full hot breakfast includes the usual food-service eggs and sausages.Note that the conversion is still in process, with their door mat still saying Quality Inn.We found the staff to be very helpful. Of interest, Canadian hotels all seem to have a push button at their desk that, when pushed, summons a taxi--and the taxi arrives very quickly. Hetal M, at Comfort Vancouver Airport Hotel, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughtful feedback. We’re glad to hear that you found our staff helpful and appreciated the upgraded amenities, including the elevator, room comfort, and hot breakfast offerings. As you mentioned, we are in the process of transitioning from a Quality Inn to a Comfort Hotel, and we’re working hard to align with the Comfort brand standards across the board—including small details like signage. Your comments affirm that we’re on the right track, and we appreciate your patience during this transition. We hope to welcome you again soon and provide an even better experience on your next stay.Kind regards,Hetal ManiarComfort Hotel Vancouver Airport
