Location

This hotel is centrally located and lies close to a variety of attractions, shopping districts, links to the public transport network, bars, nightspots and restaurants. Central Vancouver´s business and financial district is nearby and it is just 2 blocks to the Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Center and Canada Place Cruise Ship Terminal. The beach as English Bay is 15 minutes by car and the Grouse Mountain ski region is only a 30-minute drive away.

Facility

85 non-smoking rooms, including 1 single room, are available to guests in a 7-storey main building and an 8-storey auxiliary building. This hotel has a lift and a 24-hour reception desk. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and drinks machine. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. There are a number of shops as well. Additional facilities include a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Further services and facilities include room service, an alarm call service and a laundry service.     Went with my wife, son and daughter in law. We felt it is way overpriced. The room for my son and his wife was way too small. There were no amenities you might expect for a room costing what they charge. No bottle of water, the dispenser in the shower not working and the breakfast with too few choices. It does have a great location near the dock, but we feel they are taking advantage of this and overcharging for minimal service and amenities.

    We had a lovely room and the staff were friendly and helpful. A lovely breakfast was included and our daughter was able to have her own room which was excellent.

    Stay Here If You Only Need Something Very Basic

    I would agree with a previous review that stated that this is a place you can stay if you are only sleeping there and nothing else. The beds were comfortable, but the room itself resembled an office space in its layout, and a very basic refurbishment did not help to dispel this. The room was clean but did not feel clean - I kept expecting to find hair or dust somewhere. The hotel has a good location for exploring downtown Vancouver - several major attractions like Canada Place and Gastown are nearby - and fortunately there are also a number of good breakfast places (Artigiano, Guffo) nearby, as the breakfast at the hotel is minimal (no hot options) and the breakfast room is dark and dumpy. Staff were pleasant at the desk but not overly helpful and managed the details of check-in and check-out with minimal conversation. If you just need a place to sleep that's close to transportation (bus, seabus, Canada Line) this hotel fits the bill in the most basic way. If you want more than that, I suggest paying a bit extra for ambiance, greater cleanliness and a better breakfast experience.

    Pay an extra $50 a night and stay somewhere else

    If you think you are saving $50 a night by booking here then don’t. You are getting accommodation I would not pay $100 a night for. I stay in hotels a lot including Vancouver. I figured it would try this out my company pays so no big deal..No hot breakfast. The room was tiny, and needing serious refurbishment. No hot breakfast.. unless you class cooking your toast as hot. No gym. The iron was disgusting and stained my work shirts… I don’t dare explore further in my room thanks Do yourself a favour pay an extra $50 a night and choose somewhere else you will thank me.Hotel staff were pleasant which considering you meet them for like 5 mins at check in is not really a plus but that’s all I can think of. Yes location is good. But I would rather have slept in my car as $300 a night is crazy. A hostel would be better and cheaper.
