Location

This hotel is centrally located near the Capilano Mall offers easy access to the area's beaches, the mountains and to central Vancouver. The Capilano Mall and the Vancouver Aquarium Marine Science Centre are both within walking distance of the hotel. Alternatively, Robson Street offers one of British Columbia's premier shopping and entertainment areas, featuring dozens of speciality shops, cafés, eateries and small businesses. Several restaurants and cocktail lounges are within walking distance of the hotel. The North Vancouver ski slopes are only a 5-minute drive from the hotel. Vancouver railway station is some 15 minutes' drive and it is around 35 km to Vancouver International Airport.

Facility

95 non-smoking rooms are available to guests in a 2-storey main building and 4 auxiliary buildings. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service, cash machine and drinks machine. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities and a lift. Rooms

Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. All rooms are carpeted and have a double bed, a queen-size bed, a king-size bed or a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe and a desk are also available. There is a fully-equipped kitchenette with a refrigerator, mini fridge, stovetop, microwave, tea/coffee station and oven. There is also a washing machine and an ironing set. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge) provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. Bathrooms include a hairdryer and are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. Guests can also book wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms. Family rooms are available for parents with children.

Guests can enjoy a refreshing swim in the outdoor pool area. Sun loungers and parasols on the terrace invite guests to relax and unwind. The hot tub in the pool area promises pure relaxation. For guests who wish to keep active, cycling/mountain biking, tennis and fishing are available. Water sports enthusiasts are offered canoeing. The hotel's location is particularly ideal for skiers.     Generally, quite good and definitely worth the money. What I was looking for was value and I received that. The only issue I had was at the stove was quite old and should be replaced. I would definitely go again.

    Overall of the hotel it was decent for the price of being in Vancouver. Rooms: a bit outdated, washrooms could use a facelift. Parking is a bit hectic, especially if you want to park in front of your room. Swimming pool: I thought the pool was great, especially if you have kids.A bit upset that the hot tub was not open as it does not state anything online about it being closed.Breakfast: Area for seating needs to have more room, it was complete chaos every morning we went in their for breakfast. Breakfast sandwiches were not the greatest, would be nice if you had a selection of bagels and toast.     The beds were comfortable, the room was clean thought dated.. Check in person was lovely, rooms and bathroom were a bit tired and breakfast was fine, even though it was set up to reheat all the breakfast items.     Rooms are spacious and clean. Kichenette was a plus.Receptionists were all very nice. Angie was so kind and helful.     From the first time I phoned to reserve our room to the time we checked out we received the Royal treatment. Absolutely all staff were very friendly and were more than happy to accommodate our needs. The room was perfect, the microwave delivered promptly, directions to the hospital given as well as other businesses of interest. We ordered pizza for delivery to our suite from Papa Johns and even IT was excellent. Can't comment on whether it was noisy or not because I always bring ear plugs no matter where we go. Interesting factoid: Looking on the web it comes up as Comfort Inn so it went through a name change apparently. This motel would be our first choice when needing accommodation in North Vancouver.
