Location

The airport hotel is located in the heart of Richmond, British Columbia's business and entertainment centre. The centre of Richmond is just a 5-minute walk and other nearby places of interest include Steveson fishing village (30 minutes' drive), Richmond Shopping Centre (10-minute drive) and Stanley Park and Grouse Mountain (both around 20 minutes by car). The business hotel is approximately 7 km from Vancouver International Airport (around 10 minutes by taxi), and a 15-minute taxi ride from Downtown Vancouver.

Facility

62 suites, 96 apartments, 136 single rooms and 95 double rooms are available to guests in an 18-storey main building and an auxiliary building. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service, cash machine and drinks machine. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities and a lift. A variety of shops are available, including a supermarket. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Further services and facilities include a childcare service, a transfer service, room service, an alarm call service, a laundry service, a coin-operated laundry and a hotel shuttle bus. Complimentary newspapers are available. A business centre with fax machine and projector is available.

Rooms

Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can enjoy the view of the city from a balcony or terrace. All rooms are carpeted and include a king-size bed and a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe and a desk are also available. Additional features include a refrigerator and a tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi are provided as well. A shower and a bathtub are included the bathrooms. A hairdryer, a vanity mirror and a telephone are available for daily use. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Guests can also book wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms. The hotel has family rooms, non-smoking rooms and smoking rooms.

Sport

Excellent swimming awaits guests at the indoor pool. Comfortable sun loungers are available on the terrace. The hot tub in the pool area promises pure relaxation. The hotel offers a comprehensive sports programme, including fishing. For a fee, guests can also enjoy cycling/mountain biking, tennis, golf and horse riding. The hotel's location is particularly ideal for skiers. A wide range of indoor sporting activities are also offered, for example a gym, callisthenics and aerobics or, for a fee, table tennis, badminton and squash. A spa and hydrotherapy treatments are available in the wellness area. Parents can unwind while the kids can participate in an entertainment programme full of fun activities (for a fee).

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a café, a bar and a pub. A number of specialities await guests in the air-conditioned, non-smoking restaurant. A continental breakfast gives guests many delicious reasons to rise and shine. At lunch and dinner, guests can order à la carte or choose a set menu. The hotel also offers special catering options.

    Fine for a Night, Skytrain Accessible

    We stayed one night post-cruise in a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment-style suite. It did the job for a quick stopover, but the listing photos make the place look much newer than it actually is. In person, the age of the suite is noticeable and several things need repair or updating. The twin bedroom is tiny. The bed literally blocks the door, leaving a small crack to walk through and definitely could not fit a med size luggage through the door. Workable for one night, but very cramped. Also worth flagging: the bottom of the queen bed frame has something sharp on it. We stubbed our toes on it multiple times. An easy fix the hotel should prioritize.Overall, the location was a few blocks away from the skytrain and there’s a beautiful park across the street. Plus there is an airport shuttle.     Very satisfied with our stay. We came off a cruise ship and was early for check-in. They let us leave our luggage while waiting for the room to be ready. We came back later and was pleasently surprised with an upgrade. The panoramic views off the balcony was very nice. I liked the scent of the lotions. We made use of the complimentary airport shuttle.     We selected this hotel based on its perfect location, near great dim sum, the Oval, and a lovely park. We also liked that they have a pool, an airport shuttle and an onsite restaurant. At such a reasonable rate, we were pleased to find the facility so well maintained and beautifully decorated. It was all topped only by the absolutely terrific staff!
