Location

The hotel is in a very convenient location with easy access to local Vancouver attractions and businesses. Just outside the door in Riverport, there is the entertainment complex Silvercity, IMAX, swimming, ice rinks, bowling, a gym, restaurants, and a farmer's market (1 km), a shopping plaza (1.2 km) and 2 casinos 20-25 minutes away. The bus and railway station are around 20 minutes away by car. Vancouver International Airport is also within easy reach.

Facility

The hotel has a lift and features 105 rooms. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. A baggage storage service, safe, cash machine and drinks machine are available. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. A number of shops, including a supermarket and souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. Children can enjoy the playground. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park. Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and individually adjustable heating. All rooms are carpeted and include a king-size bed and a sofa bed. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. A fully-equipped kitchenette with a refrigerator, mini fridge, stovetop, microwave, tea/coffee station and oven, as well as a complete set of utensils, is a standard feature. There is also a washing machine and an ironing set. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi are provided as well. A hairdryer and a telephone are provided in the bathrooms, which include a shower and a bathtub. As a special feature, bathrooms are also stocked with cosmetic products and a selection of towels. Wheelchair-friendly rooms can be booked. The hotel has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

Excellent swimming awaits guests at the indoor pool. Comfortable sun loungers are available on the terrace. The hot tub in the pool area promises pure relaxation. Leisure activities and facilities at the hotel include a gym, a spa, a sauna and hydrotherapy treatments or, for a fee, golf. Guests of all ages have the opportunity to enjoy a fun entertainment programme (for a fee).

    Decent relatively basic, run of the mill business hotel

    Typical 'business' hotel; perfectly adequate but nothing special or memorable. Relatively clean and quiet. Usual amenities in room: microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker. Bed is fine. Room heater is very noisy. Free breakfast is included; decent with the usual average free breakfast choices. Amenities they don't have that I wish they did: kettle in room. Corkscrew. No water bottles supplied, and even the scantily supplied convenience counter in the lobby often didn't have water. No water cooler in the lobby or in the exercise room. Note also that the convenience counter is VERY overpriced! Stock up on snacks (and water!) if you so desire before arriving. Not a reflection on the hotel itself but also note that this is really 'out in the boon dogs' location. It seems to be popular in large part because of the arena right next door, and lots of sports teams seem to stay here. I stayed here purely for business purposes. Not having a car during my four day stay, the amenities in the area are extremely limited. There's a couple of restaurants in the arena and bowling alley--greasy pub food. Old Spaghetti Factory with mediocre food and a Subway; that's about it. Surprised there not at least a convenience store nearby, especially given that there's a good amount of high density condos in the area. There's restaurants in the Ironwood Plaza which is about a 40 minute walk away. These are also mostly 'fast food' type but there's a couple of decent Japanese/Vietnamese joints. I did find a lovely walking path about 10 minutes away along the Fraser River. I did walk to the Ironwood Plaza everyday. Not particularly pedestrian friendly.     Unless you’re there for a hockey tournament, give this hotel a miss.

    We stayed here one night on our way back from a trip overseas when our flight was delayed. Due to dynamic pricing, we paid $450 for the room and ended up next to the laundry room in a dirty room, that reeked of hockey gear (the hotel is located next to an arena and frequented by hockey teams). There were suspicious stains on the bed and hair (multiple) and mold in the bathroom. Grimy thermostat, stains on the wall paper. This was all documented with photos (attached) so they could see how bad it was (it was BAD). We discussed it with the front desk when we checked out and then followed up with the manager afterward, including sending the photos. She agreed it wasn’t up to the standard and credited us with points for the stay. She explicitly said in the email to us that the points wouldn’t expire and could be used on another trip. We were satisfied with that and so did not leave a negative review. I recently went to use the points and they were gone from the account. I followed up with IHG and was told the points did in fact expire and “there was nothing they could do” to reinstate them. I showed them the email from the manager and they refused to assist us and in fact have ignored our follow up requests. We will never stay at a Holiday Inn again- not because of this bad room though we clearly did not receive anywhere close to a room worth $450 (which itself is a crime) but because of the way we were subsequently ignored by both the property and IHG when we produced the email from the manager who stated that the points didn’t expire. This was supposed to be compensation for not getting what we paid for in first place.     Very Good Hotel.

    Stayed just one night at this hotel and it was a good experence. The location of the hotel is away from the hustle and bustle of the city and extremely quiet. The front desk very friendly and had us checked in quickly. The room was large and clean with a window to open for fresh air which most hotels do not have today. The bathroon amenities were of a name brand product and very good quality. The location is excellent if you want a quiet nights sleep. The beds were just right. The breakfast was impressive, many choices and the staff made sure that all the foods were plentyful and refilled accordingly. Will definately stay here on my next visit to Richmond.     We had a wonderful month stay at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites Riverport Richmond. The location was great. Located near attractions, dinning, and parks. The atmosphere was welcoming, quite and peaceful.The Rooms were spacious and clean.The value was excellent, included breakfast was fantastic! Pool was nice the first night but unfortunately needed repair for the remainder of our stay but the hotel gave us complimentary passes to the Watermania pool next door. It was quiet, didn't have any trouble with noise.The service was the best. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast staff made our months stay feel like we were at a second home. They engaged with the children and gave us tips on what family experiences we could enjoy while in Richmond. Amenities were great. We could do laundry during our time. There is an extra fee for that but it is available which is nice. The fitness room had enough equipment and was clean. Pool was good when working. Parking was ample. Housekeeping was timely.Over all it was an awesome experience and we would recommend and return!     Nice Stay

    Stayed before and after our recent trip in November.This is always our go to hotel. The staff are always welcoming and helpful.On arrival (Remembrance Day) we had an issue with our room which was handled quickly and given an upgrade. The hotel had a large group of teams over the week end. Management had given staff time off to spend with family.On return trip also upgraded.We generally like to use the pool and hot tub. Did not this round.Breakfast is always good. Staff always pleasant.The beds are comfortable and always get a good nights sleepThe shuttle drivers are most appreciatedWe used the long term parking which is 15.00/night plus tax.We will return for our next trip in 2026
