    Had a great stay at Holiday Inn Metrotown. Excellent service from check-in to check-out. Special thanks to Ashley and Joella at the front desk. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, and Alex, the Breakfast Ambassador, provided excellent service. Highly recommend.

    My husband and I recently took a trip and stayed at this HIE that is connected to the shopping mall. I want to thank especially the front desk staff who made us felt truly welcome and Ashley Kim who sent us a welcome basket. The breakfast was the best among all the HIE that we have stayed at over the last 25 years! It had a fantastic varieties including vegetables and a touch of Asian flavor congee...bravo!

    great location next to the bustling metrotown mall, clean rooms, great beds and an amazing hot breakfast with kind staff that gives out complimentary to go breakfast bags in case of really early departures like ours made this a stay that had us smiling. The only issue was this peculiar rule that does not allow guests between 10pm and 10 am, even if they are not staying, or even on an extra payment which we were willing to do as our son was visiting. If you don't expect visitors, go ahead and book this.

    This is a wonderful hotel. From the time we arrived the staff were outstanding. The rooms were excellent and a great size. There were so many extras such has breakfast with grab and go bags for snacking during your travels. The shampoo, conditioner and soap products were dove and there was also a coffee machine and tea making facilities. As a IHG member we were able to get late check out and use their lounge as we have a late flight. Plenty of wonderful restaurants, cafes and shopping close by and a 20 min train ride into downtown. We went to downtown to do a tour and preferred burnaby as our location. Well done Holiday Inn Express. Hands down superb hotel.

    Room 604, 2 nights First time in this hotel, the Hilton next door was way too expensive as well. The good, Great front desk staff, very accommodating to provide a room on top floor. Clean, updated it seemed, WiFi worked well, access to mall easy, free parking, free breakfast. Nice sleep machine. The bad,No laundry bag in room, AC blew on bed, bad design. Room was facing metro train, even though on 6th floor, plenty of noise can be heard. Elevators were slow. If you lose your room card, you really can't enter the hotel, all doors except coming from garage require room card. Also, IHG doesn't have an app to include door key nor choosing a room ahead of time.Price was what I normally pay for the Hilton next door, can't compare ...Overall, perhaps a distant third behind the Element a couple of streets away. Felt gouged at $470 per night.
