Location

This hotel enjoys a central location in downtown Vancouver. Numerous shopping and entertainment facilities are some 10 minutes from the hotel on foot in the famous Robson Street. There is a stop for the public transport right in front of the hotel. Vancouver's main train station is about a 20-minute drive away. Famous attractions, such as Stanley Park with its Indian totem poles and the historical district of Gastown, can be reached in about 20 minutes with public transport. The cablecar which takes visitors up the nearby Grouse Mountain is about 45 minutes away by car.

Facility

The hotel has a lift and features 245 rooms. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities available at the hotel include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service, cash machine and drinks machine. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A number of shops, including a supermarket, are great for shopping or just browsing. Additional amenities include a newspaper stand and a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Rooms

Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can enjoy the view of the courtyard from a balcony or terrace. All rooms are carpeted and include a queen-sized bed and a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well.     Hotel location not great, not the nicest part of town for drug addicts etc.We originally were given a disabled room with a connecting door to the muppets next door smoking weed which migrated to our room, smell very unpleasant. We were moved to another room.The hotel is being renovated so no restaurant or bar.Score would have been worse but for the friendly staff!

    The staff here is truly outstanding, but I never give 5 stars to a hotel that doesn't provide in-room safes, and I'm not making an exception here. The rooms are newly remodeled, but lack other basic creature comforts, such as drawers. There was only one large drawer which was occupied by a spare blanket. Either you had to remove the blanket or live out of a suitcase. Another small point is that all TV stations worked perfectly, except channel 29, CNN. I could watch Fox News, if I were so inclined, but not CNN and no one seemed to know why. The website still says the new restaurant will open in April 2026. Well, it's past mid-May and opening doesn't appear imminent. A basic buffet breakfast is offered in a large meeting room on the 2nd floor, and it is the opposite of relaxing. On certain days, you compete for a table with organized group events. You might even end up sitting at a conference table!And, whatever you do, don't accept a room on the 1st or 2nd floor as it's a split level building and you have to walk up or down a flight of stairs to reach some of the rooms. Floors 3 and higher are accessible by elevator, however.

    I booked my package with Expedia and on their website it shows the Holiday Inn & Suites has a restaurant, Breakfast not included but still a restaurant. It also says there’s a heated pool, no hot tub. I would Not have booked this hotel if I knew about the renovations. I booked this hotel, because it is close to a lot of shopping & tourist attractions. Very disappointed for the price I paid. Our pool was permanently closed in October 2025. We have reached out to EXPEDIA multiple times to have 'Pool' removed from their listing our list of Amenities.     Had a procedure done at Vancouver General Hospital and stayed in the hotel for a couple nights during. Found the staff absolutely amazing. Very friendly and helpful throughout a difficult time. The hotel itself is clean and rooms are very comfortable and up to date.Would totally recommend this for a stay whether using it for a hospital visit or just a stay to visit Vancouver.
