Location

This hotel is located very close to Vancouver city centre (about 15 minutes on foot). In the near vicinity (within 10 minutes on foot), guests will find a diverse range of shopping facilities, numerous restaurants, cafés, bars aplenty and further entertainment venues. Links to the public transport network are only a few paces from the hotel, while the nearest train station is approximately a 20-minute drive away. Numerous sights of interest such as Science World, Robson Street, Gastown, and Stanley Park can all be reached in some 20 minutes with public transport.

Facility

The hotel has a lift and features 100 single rooms and 96 double rooms. The reception desk is open round the clock. A baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service, cash machine and drinks machine are available. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The hotel offers a number of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. A number of shops, including a souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. Additional facilities include a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Rooms

Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Most of rooms include a balcony or terrace as a standard feature. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Additional features include a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, an alarm clock and WiFi are provided as well. A hairdryer and a telephone are available in the bathrooms, which are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. As a special feature, bathrooms are also stocked with cosmetic products and a selection of towels. Wheelchair-friendly rooms can be booked. The hotel has family rooms and 196 non-smoking rooms.

Guests can enjoy a selection of sport and entertainment options. Excellent swimming awaits guests at the indoor pool. A sun terrace is a great place to while away the hours. There are many ways to relax or stay active at the hotel, including a gym and a sauna. A casino offers fun and entertainment.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a breakfast room and a bar. Guests can enjoy the culinary delights of the non-smoking, air-conditioned restaurant, which provides high chairs for children. Bed and breakfast is offered as a catering option. A continental breakfast buffet guarantees a great start to the day. At lunch, guests can choose between a buffet, à la carte and a set menu. Dinner options include à la carte and a set menu. Diet meals and children's meals can be prepared on request. The hotel also offers special catering options. The hotel offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    The Holiday in is a half our walk over the bridge to the waterfront of Vancouver city and even closer to Granville Island. It’s a great situation… close to a variety of eating outlets and restaurants. Or eat in house… a great reasonably priced restaurant with good food and service. Small but lovely and clean rooms. Great, comfy bed. Good sized bathroom with shower over bath. Great service and care. The only concern is the rooms heat up during the day and we needed aircon all night to be able to sleep.     Great hotel in nice location close to Main Street

    We stayed 3 nights in the Holiday Inn Vancouver Centre.We had a King room on a high floor with a view (redeemed on points).The decor was nice, although somewhat dated. (which included wall to wall carpeting)Everything was in perfect condition.Although there are heavy metal doors that imply adjoining rooms, staff told me these rooms are not classified as adjoining and we never heard anyone through those doors. The room was very quiet.Bed comfort and lines were great.HVAC system was efficient. Water temperature and pressure was excellent.There was both a coffee maker and a kettle (a unique combo) as well as a small mini-fridge, but no microwave.If you want a glass of wine in your room, the plastic glasses are super thin (look like $store quality)Front desk staff were very engaging, helpful and friendly.     This hotel is only in for making money; even if their service is bad. Was told my room was breached and access was given to someone else. Then got a call saying it wasn’t breached and no one entered. I was travelling with young kids so I was very upset. My compensation? One night free parking for my two night stay. Management was argumentative although they prematurely called me if no one entered my room. I asked to review the security footage - crickets.
