    Not a great hotel for the money

    This hotel used to be great. It is not now! There is one elevator of three which is not working and has not been working for a while based on what I was told. This am I waited 27 minutes to take an elevator from the 8th floor to the main lobby with my luggage. The front desk staff said “oh yes one is not in service”, had I known this, and the long wait times I would have stayed at a different hotel. We asked for more towels at 7pm and they weren’t delivered.The beds are worn out and the pillows are terrible. Finishes and furnishings in rooms are worn and old. Sorry about the one elevator being out of service but the elevator company had to find parts in other parts of North America. Not sure why we did not deliver the towels as requested but we will be reviewing the matter with our Housekeeping team. We are in the process of refreshing our hotel with about 47% completed.

    Nice centrally located, small basic kitchenette. Furniture not as modern as our usual hotels but a clean and comfortable stay. Bar / restaurant downstairs was handy although noise from nearby fire station was a bit much. We walked from the station and found hotel easily James Miller, General Manager at Rosedale On Robson Suite Hotel, responded to this review Thank you for all your comments. The fire hall down the block can be busy from time to time mainly due to medical calls. As for the furniture we are in the process of refreshing the hotel starting with the drapes and carpet. The furniture will be next in line.

    Amazing location but staff were not hospitable. They were efficient but bordered on hostile. Only two electors were working. 20 min wait at most times of the day. The staff greeted you by lecturing and not providing enough information. Where was the complimentary breakfast? What amenities did the hotel provide? Check me in for 1 person but lectured that my kids should not play with the phone?Check me out, but how much was my bill? The location was convenient and very close to some amazing restaurants and shoppes. The room was good. I would stay here again in hopes that service was an anomaly.     An older hotel in a very central downtown location, walking distance to so many amenities, the rooms could use a refresh. But at the price point this was excellent value. The rooms and facilities were immaculately clean, the staff (and I must have chatted with a dozen or so over three days) were the friendliest and most courteous I've come across in North America (whoever is hiring there knows what they're doing!) and my room was very quiet. Well worth it!Tip: ask for a room at the back side of the hotel (east facing) because there is a fire hall at the end of the block on Hamilton.     Comfy like an old slipper

    Take a trip to 1992 and stay at the Rosedale. Nothings been updated and the furniture is a bit worse for wear. New mattresses and bedding are desperately needed. That said, its a comfortable suite with a little kitchenette. We stayed for 5 days and were able to cook simple healthy meals and relax. The Rosedale has an excellent central location on Robson St close to bars, restaurants, Yaletown rail station and streetcars. Staff are great. If you can tolerate the tired decor the Rosedale ticks the boxes. James Miller, General Manager at Rosedale On Robson Suite Hotel, responded to this review Thank you for all your comments.
