  This was a great place to stay. It is a short taxi ride from Victoria Airport. The hosts were very welcoming even though I arrived at around 11:00 pm.. The breakfast was more than enough. I will definitely stay there again.

  An unexpected gem

  We spent two lovely evenings there, one week apart (coming and going from Telegraph Cove). The hosts Karl and Darlene have put together a quirky and unique vision including beautiful gardens, a variety of animals (including 3 majestic geese), and an extensive nature walk. We stayed in the Carriage House which included many personal touches and a large and comfortable living room. It's sort of "in the middle of nowhere" -- no internet or mobile signal for us -- but that's part of the charm. We enjoyed chatting with our hosts and Karl took us on a fascinating walk on the nature trail he built. The breakfasts were unforgettable. Altogether a very pleasant and memorable experience and the best value on our three-week British Columbia vacation.

  Sumptuous Breakfast, Beautiful Grounds, Immaculate Rooms

  We stayed in the North Wing and the Carriage House. Both are very private with separate entrances. All the rooms have private bathrooms. Everything was immaculate and everything that we could possibly want was provided. Darlene and Karl were wonderful hosts. The grounds are very extensive and include beautiful flower gardens and even a nature walk. In fact, the property is on the Vancouver Island Garden Tour. Both suites are full of personal touches. They served an amazing, abundant and delicious breakfast, including fruit from their own gardens. One of the nicest things is that it is so quiet - a great place to unplug.

  In the middle of nowhere is this garden oasis. The hosts are welcoming and lovely and the rooms comfortable and very well appointed. The biggest surprise was the huge and delicious homemade breakfast which kept us full until mid afternoon. Highly recommended.

  A lovely experience

  My husband and I stayed here for one glorious night and what an experience it was. We checked in and were welcomed by Darlene. Our cottage was large and roomy, and many lovely details were evident. There were glorious fresh cut flowers from the garden and homemade cookies to greet us. In the morning we were invited to share breakfast with Darlene and Karl. What a sumptuous breakfast it was. It was a beautiful, multi-course, home cooked spread. Afterwards, Darlene took us on a tour of her garden and greenhouse. Then Karl took us on a 2-hour nature walk along trails on his property. There was so much to see. Their warmth and generosity was heartwarming. Our only regret was that we didn't have more time to spend there. We hope to be back.
