    Nice staff, clean rooms. It was quiet for sleeping. Perfect with the restaurant right of the lobby, after busy day of traveling.     Okay but basic

    It's basic accommodation at a reasonable cost for the time of year. We were on the main floor and after a long walk through hot, stuffy halls we had a room at 82F with ZERO view. The small, noisy window A/C did work but the in-room stove was labelled to not use for cooking seafood (a potential plan if our fish trip went well). It was a long travel day so we hit the in-house restaurant (Ricki's) for some light meals and a beer. That was where the view was hiding. The next morning we wandered down to the lowest level for the free breakfast --- certainly nothing much there with the only hot item being toast. The second (and last morning -- we left early) we went for the full breakfast at Ricki's with the Day's Inn discount card. A big breakfast (good) with that great view before our travel day to Tofino. Renovations look to be underway and our bathroom was done ---- but it's a deep soaker tub with limited access for a shower. Ask for a view of the water!

    We had a great experience at the Days Inn by Wyndham Nanaimo. The desk staff were always friendly and helpful. The manager even gave us an upgraded room, which was great for us. It was clean and the bed was probably the most comfortable I have slept in for a very long time. The free cold breakfast was fine and you have the option for a discounted hot breakfast at the restaurant on site. I would stay here again, in the future.
