One of the Best Hilton Hotel Experiences I Have Had

I was there for a wedding. I am a loyal Hilton customer. The Doubletree Victoria was one of the best Hilton experiences I have had. The front desk team is AMAZING. They did their very best to meet my needs from finding nearby restaurants to changing currency into useable denominations I needed for the wedding gift to giving me a free breakfast and a late checkout due to minor problems with the water in my room. The front desk team is phenomenal. The housekeeping team accommodated my later-in-the-day housekeeping requests and the staff at the breakfast buffet were gracious, friendly and provided top-notch service.I used their employee recognition program to specifically recognize some of the team but there were some unnamed people on the team (especially housekeeping) who made my stay wonderful. In summary the top-notch service made the stay thoroughly enjoyable and fully worth the cost of the accommodations.

We recently visited the city of Victoria, Vancouver Island, Canada. This was my wife's second visit, but I had not been here before. I will just say, WE cannot wait to go back as this was one of the most enjoyable vacations we had experienced in a long time.The Double Tree Hotel is located about one block from the marina area ... fabulous location as everything is within walking distance (for the most part).The hotel itself is quite nice, and the staff are beyond fantastic and helpful. My only complaint, and it really is not a complaint but more of an observation, is that although I am a Hilton Diamond member, no attempt was made to upgrade our room choice. Your hotel stay includes a full breakfast buffet with omelets available. The waitstaff in the restaurant were superior. There is also a Starbucks in the lobby.

A Wonderful Stay With Everything We Could Ever Want

We loved our stay at the DoubleTree Hilton. We were celebrating a special occasion, and upon check-in, they upgraded us to a beautiful suite. We appreciated that. We had a comfortable, very firm king-sized bed, dining table, sitting area with couch, two large flat screen t.v.s, balcony with nice views, and a bathroom complete with bathtub. We also had a microwave and mini fridge. It felt like a beautiful little apartment. The location of the hotel is wonderful, lots of restaurants nearby and easily walkable to the inner harbour area. There's some minor construction going on next door, but it didn't bother us. It seems like most of the major work has been completed; they were laying the walkway during our stay. No work was done on the weekend. We received complimentary breakfast each morning due to our Hilton Honors points; the buffet was fantastic with eggs, bacon, sausage, beautiful fresh fruit, make your own waffle station, and various juices. My husband was a fan of their hot chocolate. Breakfast servers were really kind and even offered to box up leftovers and give us complimentary bottled water on the way out. Our room was very clean with housekeeping service each day. The hotel also has a Starbucks in the lobby, stone ground pizza and pasta restaurant, and a pub. The staff was friendly and helpful. There's no parking area for guests; it's valet only, and the valet service ran rather slow, taking up to ten minutes when we were the only people in line, so allow plenty of time if you need to be somewhere. Other than that, we were very happy with our stay and would love to return to this hotel the next time we're in town.

Really Noisy, Sleepless nights

Turned up at the Double Tree Hotel around lunchtime after a very long journey to be told that our room was not ready yet, they also said that the room had been cleaned and just needed someone to do a walk around to check all was done so we left our luggage in a secure room in reception and went for a walk, we really needed to shower and change our clothes after our journey. It was just over an hour before reception texted our phone to say the room was now ready, how long does it take to do a walk around. ??.They room was a nice size, clean etc, but the noise from the construction next door was terrible with a very loud humming noise coming from a large vacuum tanker parked in the road, we showered, changed then went out for a meal, we came back later in the evening ready for a good night's sleep, which we did not get, the road noise was terrible, the double glazing must be the cheapest ever as shutting all the windows and balcony doors made no difference. Our room was nearest to the main road, if you stay at this hotel try to get a room at the back of the building, luckily we was only staying for 2 nights. Friendly, professional staff. Lovely room. Everything was clean and very comfortable. The restaurants on site were terrific.
