    We popped in for early dinner and this place has changed since our last visit several years ago. EVERYONE was friendly and welcoming and helpful as we selected a table inside near the windows (gorgeous view) were offered multiple menues for choice- it didn't matter where you were seated, everything was served in all food locations. Excellent food and service- I mean perfect. Jess who served us and Mahwash who seated us and then chased us down the block to return a hat I'd left on a chair, went above and beyond to make a very brief but fun evening a memorable one. Grilled salmon sandwich and quesadilla were top notch.

    Stunning Views and Impeccable Maintenance, though Sound and AC were Challenges

    Our family chose the Oak Bay Beach Hotel for my mother’s 70th birthday celebration, marking our third visit since 2014. We love this location; Oak Bay is a beautiful, walkable part of Victoria filled with charming parks, great coffee, and local favorites like The Village.The Highlights:• Property Condition: It is impressive how well-maintained the rooms are. Despite being open for years, the rooms look as pristine and modern as they did during our first stay a decade ago.• Amenities: The mineral pools and the glass-roofed sauna are fantastic—relaxing in the sauna while watching the ocean and sky is a highlight. The staff throughout the property were consistently professional and helpful.• Dog Friendly: We brought our two pups along and really appreciated how accommodating the hotel is for pet owners.The Drawbacks:• Noise & Soundproofing: We had the misfortune of being next to a loud reunion group. Despite having a lovely outdoor area, we couldn't enjoy it due to the noise. The walls felt quite thin; the front desk did graciously intercede at 10:00 PM one night because our son couldn't sleep, but the neighboring guests remained fairly obnoxious, seemingly feeling entitled to the volume because they were regulars.• Climate Control: Across the three rooms we booked, the AC struggled to keep up. We prefer a colder room for sleeping, but the thermostat wouldn't drop below 69°F. I’m unsure if the system is centrally limited during the cooler months, but it led to several restless nights and very early wake-ups.It’s a beautiful hotel with a world-class staff, but for the premium room rate, the sound insulation and AC consistency left something to be desired. We would still recommend it for the location and views.

    Adult Only Pool and Hot Tubs

    Absolutely stunning ocean front hotel, beautiful room and amenities. We were able to treat ourselves to a two night stay in the off season and wish we would have booked longer. Landscape, pool and hot tub with ocean view are amazing. The pool and hot tub areas are adult only so it would not be worth booking this hotel as a family only to look at the pool and not be able to go in that area, thus the title of my review to avoid disappointment

    This place is luxurious in all the ways. Every room is beautifully detailed. Our had a fireplace, heavy wooden furniture, and a gorgeous ocean view. But the real gem is the mineral pools - warm pools overlooking the ocean , with hot tubs and saunas tucked beside. Get your drinks from the pool bar and have a feel of mexico in midwinter Canada.

    The hotel is really quite fantastic. A quick drive from everything you want to do in Victoria, plus tons of amenities for when you want to hang out close to a fireplace. We stayed for a girls' weekend, got massages, and enjoyed the mineral pools. Wish I had gotten the name of the bartender that served us Friday Night, he was absolutely fabulous and helpful. Alejandra by the pool was amazing, even if she was completely buried. Wait times for food are a serious drawback, but we had too much for that to matter. Just make sure you give yourself plenty of time if you are planning to eat at one of the restaurants.
