Location

This city hotel is located at the heart of Victoria and is only a short stroll from the famous harbour, countless theatres, Beacon Hill Park and the wonderful beaches. Facility

2 suites, 3 apartments, 10 single rooms and 48 double rooms are located on 3 storeys and can be reached by lift. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities available at the hotel include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are a number of shops, including a souvenir shop.     This was a basic hotel but had everything we needed. We enjoyed some time in the swimming pool and found the beds were comfortable, clean and spacious.

    Positives: Staff was super friendly and helpful. Our suite was well priced, clean, and comfortable. The location is awesome; so much in walking distance.Negatives: No AC. We were fortunate for August that it was not scorching hot. But we can definitely tell if it was any hotter we would be uncomfortable. I did not expect a chain hotel not to have AC.When we checked in there was no more paid parking on site and we had to pay hourly at the underground library parking. Though it was cheaper than onsite parking for that night since 8pm-9am was free. I also did not see paid parking on the website or the cost, but it is $15/night.Just being a little more upfront on some of these would have made it more enjoyable.

    Needs air conditioning if it’s summer and hot

    Convenient location not far from the waterfront and downtown area. However there was no air conditioning in the room and it was unusually hot in Victoria. The room was 26.5C and had a fan which helped. I noticed a vent lightly blowing cool air but not enough to bring down the temperature. I’m sure that under normal temperatures it would have been fine. Perhaps just bad luck.

    Great location and very comfortable beds. But...no air conditioning made the stay a little uncomfortable. The hotel provided a fan and the windows opened a little but it was generally a stuffy and warm (south facing) room. We went in July and the days were warm and sunny. I'm sure at cooler times of the year it would be fine.

    The hotel is about two blocks from the Inner Harbour. It is also within walking distance from many of the popular attractions. My room was spacious, comfortable and sunny bright. No A/C but the table fan was good enough to keep the room comfy if needed. The room also had a fridge and microwave oven. Free coffee and tea was in the lobby 24/7. All the staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel met all our needs.
