Location

Centrally located in Parksville, this hotel is right on the beach.

Facility

The resort has a lift and features 149 rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities available at the resort include a baggage storage service, a safe and a cash machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. There are a number of shops as well. Parking facilities available to guests include a garage (for a fee) and a car park. Further services include room service and a laundry service. A bicycle hire service (no extra charge) gives guests the opportunity to explore the surrounding area independently. To assist guests with their business and communication needs, the business centre offers a fax machine.

Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can enjoy the sea view from a balcony or terrace. Rooms have a queen-size bed, a king-size bed or a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Additional features include a microwave and a tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A telephone, satellite television and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub, as well as a hairdryer. The resort has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

Sport

The indoor and outdoor pools are ideal for exercise as well as relaxation. The sun loungers are perfect for soaking up some sun. The hot tub in the pool area promises pure relaxation. There are many ways to relax or stay active at the resort, including cycling/mountain biking, golf, kayaking, a gym, a spa, a beauty salon and massage treatments.

Meals

The dining area includes a restaurant and a bar. A delicious breakfast provides energy for the rest of the day.

    We made our reservation via Booking.com and, after much research, I selected the One Bedroom Suite with partial ocean view. When we checked in, the front desk stated that the booking was for a “non-view suite.” This has happened to me before and is very likely a huge issue with Booking.com (I will contact them!). Either way, the front desk staff was so friendly and gracious and moved us to a one bedroom suite with partial ocean view. The suite was absolutely stunning! So much room! Amazing views of the mountains, the beach, and the ocean! Full kitchen, laundry and dryer. Pots and pans in cabinets. Huge bathroom with separate tub and shower. High ceilings. Fireplace. Large balcony. An extra half bathroom at the other end of the suite. I read in other reviews that people were unhappy with outdated TVs and the drip coffee machine. TVs are older but I actually don’t mind having cable TV in a hotel room. Also, the drip coffee works just fine and is so much better than those terrible Keurig machines (of course, if they were to upgrade to a Nespresso, then we are talking 🤣).The hotel itself was just fine; small gym, small pool. Didn’t try the restaurant. The access to the beach is great. I’d totally go back whenever I need a whole apartment with a great view in a hotel! 🙂

    Amazing Parksville Resort

    We stayed 4 nights at the Beach Club Resort. We can’t wait to go back! The Staff at Reception took care of any request with a professional and friendly manner. The Suite was so comfortable, the view was spectacular, and our Dinners outside on the covered Patio were delicious. Thank you for a wonderful Family holiday!

    An Add On of $20 Resort Fee

    This is a very large hotel with many different room categories to fit each budget, beautiful location. But it seemed to lack a certain feel. Expensive restaurant on site, no outdoor pool or hot tub. We had a corner penthouse room facing the ocean during the off season which of course had a beautiful view and balcony. But if I were to choose again I would not face the ocean as we couldn't sit out on the balcony because of the cold wind. Our room was also very small as well as the bathroom.The $20 resort fee is a no go again for us. We booked this room by walking in to ask about pricing and were not told about the fee until we were getting our room keys, Credit card given, my husband was already parking in the underground lot and then I had to sign a few agreements -- no smoking was one and the other was the resort fee. I wasn't about to walk out and try somewhere else by then. This was the only hotel that charged an extra resort fee out of our 5 hotels we stayed at in B.C.

    Great place to relax . Good restaurant with a nice patio . The staff are warm and welcoming ! Good location and easy parking . Great boardwalk and the beach is one of the best on the east coast of the island .
