    Good for our one night stay

    We were on our way through the area so only stayed one night. This was a good location right off of the highway. The staff member at check in was very friendly and helpful with dinner recommendations. Our room was comfortable but a bit worn. Breakfast was standard fare for a BW property.     This hotel is more expensive than other local hotels, so I expected more. The room was a bit run down, with torn carpet and water damage in the bathroom, and the pool was closed indefinitely. Not worth the extra money.     Adequate for a one night stay

    We stayed at this hotel for one night on a road trip from Vancouver to Bella Coola.I would say it’s perfectly adequate although in need of some investment. The room was clean and large and the bed was particularly large. The air con worked but there was only coffee facilities in the room, not tea. The bathroom was very tired but the water pressure was good. Overall the decor needed updating and repairing. Staff were efficient.The hotel has no restaurant of its own so we ate at the pub next door which was fine. They do serve a buffet breakfast in the mornings and the food was very good. Good parking and easy to find, I expect most of their guests are only there on the way to somewhere else.     Location: Next to main highway south of downtown. Easy driving distance to restaurants. Lake view filtered by trees.Hotel: Decent looking. Standard lobby. Fast internet at 70.69 Mbps download. Fitness Center needs improvement. Standard equipment, a bit tight, treadmill didn't work and strap on right bike pedal was broken. Weight bench is very low to the floor. Room: Large size with a blank space where a table used to be. Decent mattress if a bit soft. Mahogany, matching furniture. The bathroom is small but with adequate counter space.
