    First time experience in my life the owner of this hotel abuse me verbly because when staying in this hotel in the room i find holybook of hindus and i find out someone wrote some wrong word on it and when i take this holy book to hotel reception owner call the receptionist and she give the ohone to me and he abuse verbally and also try scare me he said i m the owner of this hotel i gonaa do anything to u. Canada is free country everyone has right to follow any religion they but last night i experienced this thing i m sikh and reason i want to gave the holy bhagvat geeta to reception because its like some one try to disrespect this holy book but owner patel accused me so i suggest take other hotel he thinks he is above from law he can do anything the receptionist also witness this incident Mihir , Owner at Surestay Plus By Best Western Windsor, responded to this review Thank you for sharing your experience.     I had a fantastic sleep. The hotel was the most affordable I could find in Windsor, and the breakfast was everything I needed. The shower had good water pressure and had hot water.     This property did not meet my expectations for a Best Western. It felt more like an attempted update of a motel and was significantly overpriced for the level of comfort and amenities offered.I was in the province for a three-week stay, traveling back and forth between Windsor and Sarnia, and booked this property solely because it carried the Best Western name. After staying here, I checked out early and relocated to another hotel just down the road on the same side of the street, where I stayed for the remainder of my time in Windsor.The front desk staff member who checked me in was pleasant and professional. However, the staff member at checkout was noticeably less courteous and came across as quite rude. As an Elite Status member who has stayed at many Best Western properties across Canada, I have never been informed of a charge for late checkout, nor do I believe this aligns with Best Western policy. The manner in which this motel’s late checkout fee was communicated was unprofessional and dismissive.While the room appeared generally clean at first glance, I had concerns about overall cleanliness and safety. I could not help but notice there were three locks on my door, which raised questions rather than providing reassurance. Additionally, the hallway and lobby had an overwhelming odor of marijuana, which significantly impacted my comfort.The property is located beside a Tim Hortons, and my room window faced the drive-thru, making it impossible to open the curtains. I also observed several questionable individuals loitering uncomfortably close to the motel, further contributing to safety concerns.The breakfast options were unappealing, and I chose not to participate.Overall, this property did not align with the standards I associate with the Best Western brand. I will be bringing this experience to Best Western’s corporate complaints department, as I feel misled by the branding. I DO NOT recommend staying here if comfort and safety are a priority.
