This city and conference hotel has a superbly convenient location, which is only minutes away from the bustling downtown business core where the Winnipeg Convention Centre, the MTS Centre, The Forks Market and the Winnipeg Art Gallery are located.     I liked the layout of the room. Beds were awesome, fell asleep fast.the housekeeping staff was amazing. Room was left clean. Front desk was super helpful.

    We had such a nice time there over Christmas. Everyone loved our dog and we got a little gift of cookies and candy on Xmas Eve. Thank you everyone for the great service!

    Customer service is excellent, too bad about the hotel

    We stayed at the Holiday Inn from October 1 to 7 after our condo was flooded. The hotel was close and pet friendly, which is why we chose it.The positives of the hotel were the free parking and customer service. Customer service was excellent. However, the hotel itself NEEDS to seriously get into the 21st century as it is seriously outdated. For example, a smart tv would have been nice not just few, sad cable channels. Another point is have an ATM on site. There is laundry on site which is coin operated. As people seldom carry, cash an ATM is essential to get money for the laundry. The front desk is not allowed to disperse change for the laundry but instead I was told to walk in the pouring rain to use the ATM at a bank. I was not impressed for their Stone Age thinking.The cleanliness is definitely lacking. For example, we spilled some sprite on the carpet and wiped it up with a white bathroom towel which turned black. We never walked bare foot and would not allow our dog to lie on the carpet it either. The room was musty, and we were all sneezing from the dust. The hallways are not any better. The furniture must be the original as one can judge from the wear and tear.Security is also lacking as anyone can enter this hotel as my husband saw some drugged out individual in the lobby.The customer service is excellent. The hotel itself needs a major overhaul to get into the 21st century in more ways than one.I would only recommend this hotel after a MAJOR overhaul.

    The rooms were clean beds comfy, the staff was unbelievably friendly and professional. Every morning we were welcomed by Cristin and Christine with a smile wonderful conversation and quick efficient service. They made it pleasant for our busy day ahead.We will definitely be back for our annual trip to Winnipeg which by the way is not friendly Manitoba except for the holiday inn staff.
