    Hilton's Tru is modern and good.

    Our first visit to a Hilton "Tru" series hotel and very pleasant overall. Exceptionally friendly (and competent) staff, spotless everywhere including the room, good bed/linens, fine breakfast included. It seemed like a ten years more modern version of a Hampton Inn, and we like Hampton Inns.

    We had a very pleasant stay at the Tru by Hilton Yarmouth. Although it’s not located downtown, the area is quiet with easy parking, and there’s a restaurant just a few steps away, which is very convenient.The staff were amazing—courteous, caring, and helpful—and check-in and check-out were quick and easy. The lobby and dining area are spacious, bright, and inviting, with several comfortable seating areas to relax, read, or work.The breakfast (buffet-style) offers a great variety, and the coffee station is available anytime. Snacks are also available for purchase.Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The bed and pillows were excellent, and the blinds kept the early morning light out. The bathroom was beautiful, with a lovely tiled shower and high-quality Zero % Collection products. We also enjoyed the pool—the water was warmer than usual, which was a nice touch.Great for families or short stays, and good value considering the included parking and breakfast.The only small downside was that the TV remote was a bit difficult to use.Overall, a great experience— we would definitely return.

    Stay here for work and I love a few things about the property:1. Staff are awesome2. Amenities are as good as anywhere3. The gym is fantastic Both of my recent bookings involved two different approaches but I think there is some glitch in the booking system. The first time I spoke with staff person on site and was booked for a room the same day instead of later the month. I was awoken at 1245 am that morning with a notice that I'd been charged for no show. I called next morning and spoke to a lovely staff member who had already noticed the error and corrected it for me and my coworker.The next time I used the online booking service. I know I selected the correct dates and when I was inputting my info, it reset to book for the date I was booking. I did not get a notice of "no show" this time or any indication that the reservation was wrongly booked at any time. I did think it was strange I was billed for the room but I presumed that where I booked online the same day, it was just billed up front. When I arrived to check in, I learned that i was marked "no show" for the day I made my reservation. The property was quick to refund me. They were so excellent to deal with that way.However, on both occasions, I did not get the room choice I booked and I was really looking forward to stretching out in a King bed after a long day of travel and meetings. Only a mild disappointment/inconvenience, I was lucky to get a room with no booking on file. And I was lucky that my second error booking was cancelled as I had little proof that I didn't deliberately book for same day online. I really appreciated that support from the team to acknowledge that it would have been unlikely for me to book at end of workday for a reservation that far away from my home (I was able to show my calendar with the meetings in the area for the dates I visited, helped them understand my predicament.) That all said, sometimes hiccups happen(and I blame these on tech) and I will still stay there I'll just be more careful in the future to ensure my booking confirmation matches the date I intended. The hotel staff are cleaning all the time and it is exceptionally well managed. It goes to show that even when mistakes take place, a five star review is still deserved. It's not what happens its how you deal with it.

    Staying in the Tru in Yarmouth NS. Room is small but seems to have everything I need. It’s really noisy in the hallway. The doors seem to slam shut when people leave their rooms. Bed is very comfortable. Not a luxury place but you get what you pay for.

    Clean, comfy, free breakfast, pool, centrally located. What more could you want? Did I mention they allow dogs? Our dog had a great stay too!
