    Never again. Terrible. There was no hot water or air conditioning. The dining room was closed for renovations, so you had to eat outside, 8even at night. It's unbelievable that it costs almost $100.

    A gem in the desert, the Geotel

    Beds are very comfortable. Rooms are a good size. No air conditioning, however located by the sea. So always a good breeze. It’s an older hotel, however well maintained. Breakfast is varied and good quality. Staff are exceptional. Located in the quieter part of Antafgasta. So Uber, taxi or bus to the centre. Restaurant has a great choice and the food is very good. The hotel has a relaxing and warm feeling. Easy walk to the beach, you can see it from most rooms. Secured parking. Seems to be very popular with workers and tourists. Good beer and wine selection.     Overcharged at checkin. Refund promised (after much debate with staff who basically couldn't be bothered) Finally got the refund in writing, told it would take some time to reach my account. Still waiting 2 months later. Multiple emails etc all ignored. As for the location, yes, quiet because it's out of town but the beach is not directly accessible and is filthy when you finally get there. I wouldn't recommend and wouldn't return.

    2do time staying at Geotel, Calama first and then Antofagasta, is a pretty nice place, we booked thru booking, check-in nice and easy, ladies Michelle & Sarit are nice, we ordered room service that night 👍🏽👍🏽, room was clean as always, quiet place, staying right next to the beach is a pretty nice way to sleep, breakfast 👍🏽👍🏽, nothing bad to say about this brand. Well done.

    Waited 45mins for the (only) lady checking in. Finally shown to a room at the far end of floor 2, below ground level, no 225. Just above the deliveries area and facing the electric car park gate and entrance ramp. Requested a room on the top floor. Told no but given a room AT THE FAR END of floor 4, ground level, no 425 overlooking the above! Suite. Small kitchen area, hot plates, microwave. None of the following: cutlery, plates, cups, glasses, tea, coffee, water OR kettle. 5 requests for a kettle later... nowt. Sitting area: torn sticky carpet. Blanket avaliable so that went on the sofa. Bedding clean, bed not comy. Bathroom very sad, my wife was unable to work the taps/shower. Breakfast poor as, by now, expected.
