    The Arica Hotel was the worst experience I’ve ever had. The rooms were dirty, the air conditioning was broken. The bed in the suite they moved me to had spiders and large ants. The bar service was terrible. I ordered dinner, and they never delivered it because they forgot about it. I was left waiting for more than an hour.     This was the worst hotel we stayed in on a recent Chile trip. The room was small, with no place to put luggage, and little space between the beds and walls to move around. There was one flat pillow on each bed, with no extra pillows or blankets. The room felt dirty and run-down, an impression that was confirmed when a large beetle flew out from under the bed covers when one of us was getting ready to go to bed. The curtains were thin and let in light from street lights. Traffic noise was also a problem until about 2 a.m. Front desk was surly and unfriendly. Definitely not recommended!

    Do not take whiny reviews seriously , HOTEL ARICA is soooo fun , rooms are fine , food is good , the help is so sweet like family !!!!!! Not to much money ! Two pools , next to playalaucho , best beach ever , mile long buffet, I stay there Every Time I can !!!!! Love it so much , never seen laundry pressed so tight !!!!! Not in town but a nice walk to downtown !!!!! AC WIFI …. I am waiting for travel ban to lift so I can go back to HOTEL ARICA & see the same bellman to welcome me back to a very special place on earth ,,,, From Juddy , I come from San Francisco , California where I was born ……….⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Jacqueline Camus, Ventas at Hotel Arica, responded to this review Estimado, ya estamos con nuestras puertas abiertas para que pueda venir a disfrutar cuando desee.     Lovely View Nice Pools Poor kitchen

    We had requested a room with a double bed , ocean view. We were given a room with two twin beds overlooking the pool and social area. They very kindly changed us to what we wanted. When we returned they also were willing to accomodate to our wishes. The dinner was adequate but "fresh fish and shellfish" were frozen and overcooked. The meat soup was good the dessert was dry and tasted like it came from a powder. Breakfast had choices but no granola (just children type cereal) nor natural yoghurt. Eggs were watery. Free bicycles offered for rides to town. The views were unbeatable. Bathrooms fine. Good pressure and hot water.     If anyone ever went to Butlins in the 1960's, that's the size of the chalet rooms' only there are 5 beds crammed in. We stayed for 3 nights, notified reception every day that there was no hot water for a shower and didn't even get an apology, never mind any offer of compensation. Very poor.
