    This is a very modern artsy hotel resort, connected to a casino. The main interesting feature is the entire structure including rooms with bare concrete walls. The hotel is 14 years old and has 72 rooms, a large majority of which are sweets with super king beds and large 10 ft (wide & tall) single pain glass window, with an additional 3 ft wide ventilation window on the main window side overlooking the water.Giving this hotel a 4.3 hinge rating, (Scale 0-5) as it has some crude features showing wear and tear over the years. They charge to go into the hot tubs outside,

    This is supposed to be the best hotel in Castro. It was fine. Comfortable rooms. Breakfast was also fine. Not too many services to offer and location is a walk from restaurants or stores, but again, we were told it was the best that Castro has to offer.

    Spectacular view on the edge of town

    The rooms have fantastic water views. The hotel is a bit of a walk to town. About a mile and a half (30 minutes at a brisk pace) There is a good side walk all of the way and the views are nice, although it is not flat and the town is on a bit of a hill. There is a small grocery store/deli next door and a larger grocery store close by. There is also an on site restaurant and a couple of other restaurants very close. Castro is a little sleepy so the location was nice for us. Again, the views from the rooms are spectacular.

    This is the only hotel on the island that can handle groups. Interesting rooms with bare concrete walls and ceiling. The room was comfortable but no coffee or tea maker. We had a chaise lounge in front the large picture window which had a great view of the bay.

    This hotel boasts a fantastic view of the bay where you can see the dramatic change of the tide; and there is a wonderful spa. But the restaurant and concierge both leave much to be desired. Bag delivery to the room is glacial… they call it “island time”…. and the restaurant which was supposed to open at 7:30 am for breakfast, didn’t start service until 8:15 am. There were so many people waiting, there was a rush. Soon there were no cups for coffee, then empty jugs, so no water or juice. Unacceptable. You had ONE job!
