    Another of the hotels I used to stay in the past. Last time I was here was 2019. Very happy to see there are still doing an excellent job. Great customer service.Thanks to Carlos in the front desk for helping with my request for a high floor.The wait staff at the restaurant has been there for a while, and are great at making sure you have everything you need.The location is great. The hotel is near the train station, the shopping mall, and a wonderful park to do some exercise. Also within 2 miles of the wonderful University of Concepcion.     Pleasant two night stay ... LGBT Friendly

    I was surprised to read the recent negative reviews of the Mercure Concepcion. We are well-experienced travelers who stay in the full range of hotels from low to very high. It's a four star hotel. It s well-priced and centrally located. We paid about $75 a night for two nights here. The big surprise was that numerous staff, female and male were sporting small rainbow flag pins. Very welcoming! Many of the staff are fluent in English.The food at the complimentary breakfast was delicious and fresh in a pleasant setting. It was the best of the hotel breakfasts we had on our trip. A true test of a place is when things don't go right. The bathroom sink was clogged. When we reported it, a maintenance staff member arrived within 10 minutes. Done! The downside: It is located next to the highway and a railway. Another plus: near the local Unimarc, about 3 blocks away. Also near two car rental agencies: Mitte and Chilean Rental Car.

    Hotel Mercure the best!!

    My husband and I and my sister have been quarantined for over a week here at the Mercure because we have COVID. The staff have been fabulous!!!! They are so attentive and kind. It’s been tough to not get out but it’s been doable because of the kindness of the staff.

    After arriving to the hotel a member of our party tested positive with Covid and everyone at the hotel was very supportive with our isolation. I can’t say enough good things about the staff! The rooms were comfy and up date.

    This experience was awful. First there was not parking space for us, then the room was very cold and couldn't manage to warm it up. Lastly, for the pandemic they offer breakfast, but you have to go down to the first floor to get it, but there are not options, so it doesn't make any sence, the should send it to you to you room. In conclusion, we are never going there again.
