    An Older Hotel with Nice Ocean Views

    With a waterfront location somewhat secluded from central Iquique, stays at this property are quiet and relaxing. The atmosphere inside is dated, but I observed cleanliness throughout the building. The staff at reception and the restaurant (open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner (breakfast available free with certain room rates)) were professional and friendly, perhaps not the American-style outgoing type but still kind and helpful. I was able to pay a reasonable fee to upgrade to a room facing the water, which I was very content about; my king room was clean, spacious, and super quiet. Renovations would be the next step to making the rooms even better, though.I would return to the NH Costa if I’m in Iquique again! And for my very first experience in an NH hotel, my interest in the brand is piqued!     I booked this hotel for my honeymoon 2 weeks in advance thinking I had made the right choice; clearly I was wrong.I will start with the good stuff: the room was clean.Now the bad: Our room had the shower door broken, so water would flood the bathroom. We booked a sea view room, which was more expensive, but the window was dirty from the inside and outside. The A/C was busted and I complained the moment I got in, but no one came to fix it or apologized. The bar had no decent drinks aside from standard Stoli and a standard Beefeater. No tonic water, which is a no-no. I asked them to go and buy and they said they had "procedures to follow" and couldn't. Overall the hotel was very dirty in places that could have clearly been well cleaned with ease (like the elevator which had sticky glue and dust).I went to the front desk and expressed all this, and I still got no one to fix the A/C, buy tonic water or give me any kind of apology or compensation, not even a late checkout on Sunday because our flight was at 7 PM and it was our honeymoon and I bought the whole trip as a package at a travel agent (Viajes Falabella).Stay away from this place.

    The hotel is located at the oceanside. Our room has ocean view. Room and bathroom huge and clean.Very quiet location.Swimmingpool with good temp.Laundry service good but very expensive.This is a hotel so my review is about the hotel.The cafetaria needs improvement. Breakfast good.The expresso coffee machine was during my 6 days out of order. The other coffee machine makes hot water with a coffee taste. Some of the staff need more training.
