    Highly professional!

    rating23 Nov 2022

Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to stay in this place.I booked it along with 2 other hotels for my Nov 2022 trip and one day before my flight, my PCR test came positive.I have contacted the hotel and provided them with my lab report to process my refund.they were highly professional and immediately sent me my refund receipt. This is to document my gratitude to the management of the hotel and the staff who were communicating with me (Maribel Cerda) seamlessly finalize my refund.I had a five stars treatment without even staying there.Thank you again for you understanding and cooperation.Ghadah.

    Lovely Hotel with great staff

    rating23 Feb 2020

I visited this hotel as a tour leader with 6 other guests, in February 2020 for 2 nights. The hotel is not centrally located but it is located in a very nice and peaceful spot overlooking the sea.Rooms are like individual bungalows spread in a garden, so do not be surprised of finding bugs around.Rooms are large and comfortable and bathrooms well equipped. The big problem about this hotel is the Wi-Fi. The Wifi is only available in the reception area and even there it is not working all the time or the signal very very week. The breakfast and the restaurant are very good and tasty. Reception and restaurant area is very nicely decorated daily by beautiful flowers. The staff is so friendly and helpful. We were offered seashell necklaces at our departure. what a nice souvenir!

    Don’t, just don’t

    rating08 Dec 2019

Don’t, just don’t Sadly a complete fail! This claims to be a luxury eco lodge but sadly is more of a broken cheapo hostel. After a few weeks touring Chile and expending a lot of energy visiting various great places in Chile, we decided to splash out on a nice place to stay in Easter Island, tacking on a few extra days to recharge our batteries.Sadly this place is completely the wrong place to do this. The hotel is very tired and worn. Our room had missing paint, large gouges out of the walls and what looked like patches of damp. The toilet seat was broken and didn’t fit the bowl. The typical hotel washing line was present but broken, with someone splicing in an extra piece of red cord, although that too was broken. The French windows rattled in the frame when the wind blew (which it often does on an Island a couple of thousand from anywhere), so don’t count on any sleep. The windows have no screens and indeed part of the shower is open to the elements so any hope of staying mosquito free is but a faint hope. A bit of a disappointment in an expensive hotel in an area known for Denge Fever. The gardens are left largely wild, which I rather liked, it is a rather casual style. The hotel is perhaps a kilometre from the ocean, so you will not hear any lapping waves.Food at the Altiplanico is supposed to be good although we had a very mixed experience. One good meal, one complete fail (asked for an ingredient to be left out and they totally ignored this). A replacement meal was provided but only about 20 minutes later when my partner had finished, no real apology or recompense was offered. Breakfast is pretty minimal and again, the scrambled eggs tasted as if a whole salt seller had been dropped in!Also the food is massively overpriced. 30,000 Chilean Peso (about £30 or $40) for a pizza is just silly - poor value in Central London/New York/Tokyo, simply ridiculous anywhere in Chile - even on Easter Island, I you compare it to other local places. The internet may as well have not been there at all. Even single phone pictures would not download on WhatsApp.The staff were nice enough although the management were completely unhelpful and only interested if you wanted to buy things from them (tours, car rental, foreign exchange). One has to assume they are highly motivated by commission. The management showed no interest in our poor room, poor food and decision to leave the hotel early as it did not meet expectations nor correspond with their description. Also vastly overpriced!

    Quiet lovely place

Located outside of town but hey its Easter Island and almost everything is walking distance in Hanga Roa. Horses 🐴 and chickens 🐓 just roaming around free. Excellent customer service and food was excellent at the restaurants. Maybe 7 minutes walk to seeing your first Moai 🗿 at Tahai. Also close to the Rapa Nui Museum.
