A Profoundly Disappointing and Utterly Dismal Experience
12 Aug 2026
Our stay at Enjoy Coquimbo from 12 to 13 August was, without question, one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we have had in recent years. Describing this property as a four-star hotel feels exceedingly generous; in reality, it falls dramatically short of the standards travellers are entitled to expect. We stayed in Room 802, which appeared neglected and poorly maintained. The furniture was outdated, worn, and visibly deteriorating. To make matters worse, the balcony door was broken and could not be properly closed, creating obvious concerns regarding comfort, maintenance, and security. The condition of the property was matched only by the attitude of the staff. Throughout our stay, we encountered employees who seemed indifferent, unwelcoming, and largely unwilling to assist. Genuine hospitality was nowhere to be found. Even more surprising was the complete inability of the reception staff to communicate in English, something that is difficult to understand in a hotel that ostensibly caters to international visitors. The plumbing presented another unpleasant surprise. The water carried a distinctly unpleasant odour, making even basic hygiene uncomfortable. Furthermore, despite several attempts, we were unable to obtain genuinely hot water. At best, it could be described as lukewarm.Breakfast was arguably the lowest point of an already disheartening experience. The quality of the food was abysmal, with several items appearing anything but fresh. The selection was uninspiring, the presentation unappetising, and the overall standard alarmingly poor. What ultimately made this stay so memorable for all the wrong reasons was the atmosphere permeating the entire property. Everything felt tired, neglected, joyless, and profoundly depressing. Rather than providing relaxation or enjoyment, the hotel generated only frustration and disappointment from check-in to departure.Regrettably, we cannot recommend Enjoy Coquimbo under any circumstances. Travellers seeking comfort, professionalism, cleanliness, and even the most fundamental standards of hospitality would be well advised to look elsewhere. One night here was one night too much.

Hotel not worth the price we paid
22 Nov 2023
The place is pretty much run down and would require some renovation, not worth the price you pay. Location is nice at the beach. The jacuzzy was out of service, one of the lights inside the indoor pool was lying on the floor with its cable connected. One of two elevators did not work, as it did not read the room key.

BIG Disappointment & Awful Experience !!!
30 Jan 2023
My Aunt, Uncle, my Mom, and I spent 2 nights at the Enjoy in Coquimbo. My mom and I shared a Suite on top (12th) floor and my aunt & uncle had a room on the 3rd floor. First of all this is certainly NOT a 5 Star hotel! It might be the best place in Coquimbo / La Serena and it may have once been a decent resort, but it missed on SO MANY fronts that I don't know where to start!!!- The furniture (specially in the lobby and by the outdoor pool) is really worn out and needs replacing. The whole outdoor pool area needs a giant makeover!- We came back from dinner to find a huge line of cars of casino goers stretching down the street trying to get into the parking lot (that was full). After waiting for a while, someone in my party got out and went to ask how we (as hotel guests) were supposed to park our cars. We were instructed to go into thru the exit driveway and then turn the car in an impossible way to get in front of the waiting cars and thru the garage entrance (needless to say, despite being an excellent driver, I ended up scratching the rental car on a pole as I maneuvered the SUV into the garage).- The service was REALLY awful! We asked the front desk to please call a taxi for us (me and my 83 year-old mom) and they handed us a piece of paper with the taxi company's phone number!- I fell asleep on Friday night around 11pm only to be awoken at 11:30 by a full-on OUTDOOR disco party directly across the street from the hotel. It was so loud that it made the windows shake and it went on until 5am! Luckily, it was quiet the following night or I would have lost my mind!- The casino is really NOT worth it and crowd is super low-budget! - The little store was always closed, the place where you eat breakfast is a million miles away, the windows are all dirty, I could go on and on ...Don't stay here!

5 stars - what a joke . Never ever stay here!!!
04 Jan 2023
Never stay here!!! Room smells to fungus and dampness, bathtub corroded, tiles, bathtub and sink are and filled with grime- clearly anti calc has never been used, pillars holding glass exterior corroded, the disco bellow plays loud music even on weekdays, so prepare yourself to be up until 2 am and make sure you like boring types of tecno. Breakfast: if some fruit, bread roles, watery coffee and strawberry jam are enough for you - you will find it ok. Oh, they also have over sugary donuts. Make sure to have earplugs for breakfast too. Do not rely on their taxi service-it could take 30 or longer to get one. Who decided this hotel was 5 stars? No idea, but I can’t imagine it deserves more than 1, if any at all. Unless of course size alone is star providing, in which case lots of stars for size, and none for the rest. The staff we met were genuinely nice and one can feel sorry for them. The manager was not available because she only shows up at 10:30, and does not answer the phone before then.. in case of emergency she can be reached by email ??

Tired and a bit grubby. Poor service
01 Jul 2022
Slow check in waiting for room to be available. 4pm check in time is late compared with most hotels. Stayed in a suite, tired decor and badly stained carpet. Had to ask for stained sheets to be changed. Bathroom was ok but fan very noisy with no way to turn off. Not a quiet room with lots of noise from machinery. Windows covered in bird crap, must be weeks since they were cleaned. Room service/reception never answer the phone. In room breakfast is ordered through text message but they do not respond to requests. No in room dining menu, checked online but the menu link was dead. Poor effort for a casino resort hotel.
