Lovely hotel with a lively, welcoming atmosphere. The location is excellent — you’re within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and a supermarket. I highly recommend paying a little extra for a Lake View room; waking up to panoramic views of the lake and volcanoes was unforgettable. The room itself was huge, very spacious, and spotless. The bathroom was smaller but perfectly fine, and having a fridge was convenient. Complimentary water is provided on the first day, and you can refill bottles at the water dispenser in the lobby. I stayed here in winter, and the hotel was wonderfully warm and cosy. Some reviewers mentioned street noise, but I didn’t experience any issues. All staff were super friendly, polite, and very helpful — and they speak English. A complimentary breakfast buffet was included, featuring mostly pastries along with cereals, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, juices, and other items. It would be nice to have fresh juices instead of sugary ones, and boiled eggs were only available on one of the four mornings. Still, I was lucky to always get a window table, making breakfast with a lake view a highlight. Wi-Fi was painfully slow in the rooms, though faster in the lobby. Noise.

The hotel has a lakefront location in a newly overdeveloped resort town.There is traffic noise for much of the night, varied by the passage of drunken revellers.Closing the window is undesirable at least on the upper floors,because of the usual heat buildup in multistorey concrete hotels. However ,the traffic noise does at least mask the vibration from thumping dance music originating from the bar terrace.This seems quite far away at street level,but the masonry transmits noise well. It would be beneficial for the guests to at least supply fans,if aircon is felt to be only needed rarely, and to cut the power to those who are keeping me awake at 50 minutes after midnight.
