    The Solace hotel is a recommendable standard tourist / business hotel close to the center of Puerto Varas. I had a junior suite which was quite spacious with a nice view over the city. The rooms were functional and well equipped, the bathroom as well. Breakfast also was o.k., in a large room not too charming, which was also used as restaurant in the evening.One word of caution for those who can not walk well: the hotel is on top of a small hill - not too far down to the city, maybe 5-7 minutes walk, but quite steep, which may cause problems for some.

    This hotel is on a hilltop above the lake. No view of the lake or volcano. And not near any restaurants. Several options for eating in town, plus walk along the lake are within walking distance.Rooms are small, as is the bathroom and shower, but all are adequate and clean.They opened breakfast 15 minutes early for us so we could make the Cruce Andino lakes crossing pick up at 7:20 am. And it was quite nice; not extensive but all quite good. And the staff were friendly.

    Spacious room. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. Close to centre walk back up a small hill. Generous packed breakfast given for early starts. Room clean. Water machine in lobby plus bottled water in room everyday. No negatives. Would recommend.     good location, friendly service, nice breakfast, walking distance from city centreplanning to go here again when i visit puerto varas or the area nextrooms also ski ready, lots of space to store equipment and let it dry post snow/rainfriendly very helpful service at checkin and departure, thanks.     We have stayed here before. Consistent, good service, attentive to needs, speak English, sense of humor was evident in all employees. Rate is reasonable.Breakfast included with great variety... altho it is always the same scrambled eggs, veggies and bacon/sausage. But they will do eggs to order! :-) Close to downtown shopping and restaurants and the lake.Highly recommend them.
