    Great hotel in Punta Arenas

    Hotel Isla Rey Jorge is a nice hotel in colonial style building in downtown Punta Arenas. It is only 5 min walk to the main Plaza de Armas square and around 10 min to the seaside promenade.Rooms are spacious enough and clean with comfy beds. Although we had breakfast included we only had our lunch boxes for takeaway because of the tours we had starting very early.Staff was very pleasant and made a very nice gesture. Latam airlines rescheduled our flight so we had to leave at 7PM instead of tomorrow morning in order to catch another flight from Santiago. Despite leaving at 7PM they offered us a small discount for that night.

    Lovely and clean, good location and value for money. Staff are super friendly, and ever so helpful. Would recommend to anybody looking for a stay in the heart of Punta, as everything is in walking distance. Taxis are also readily available from outside the hotel.

    We found this to be an average place to stay. Nothing bad about it, nothing specially positive about it. Rooms on the small side. Staff on the ho-hum side. Same for breakfast. But, as title says, good location for walking, less than 5 minutes to plaza

    Wonderful but don't expect American style accommodations standards

    When I arrived I was a little concerned since I just left the Sheraton in Santiago and this was a small quaint cute property but the room looked more like a hostel, there was no fridge, microwave or blow-dryer. Generally, I assumed that single room would imply that I'd have a king bed but it was just a twin. Ok, the positives: super nice staff, I asked if they could store my food since I didn't have a fridge and they were happy to accommodate. The breakfast was included but limited hours 7-9am however they offer to pack a lunch if you have an early exit and I utilized that on most days that was very nice. The staff was super friendly which made up for the bed situation, they were glad to be of service when I asked for directions and recommendations. The property is very well located to all attractions. The wifi was great. There was always someone cleaning and they all look happy to be working which is pleasant to see. Knowing all this if you're ok with a subpar room I would support this business, if you need something a little nicer there is dreams by the water.

    Excellent staff who all spoke great English. Clean, comfortable room. They were great for advising me on restaurants and other facilities, like bank ATMs. Well worth it. I would definitely book here again!
