  Beautiful hotel right in town.

  We had a wonderful experience at Tarrantai Hotel. Everything was great. The staff is amazing, especially Nicole who greeted us and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. She went above and beyond during our time at the hotel. Our room was very peaceful and comfortable with a lovely outdoor seating area which was a very pleasant surprise. The hotel location is ideal to restaurants and shops. I highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting San Pedro de Atacama.   Stellar Staff & Beautiful Integration of Old with New Facilities

  I traveled in three countries in South America (Argentina, Chile, Bolivia) and Hotel Terrantai was by far the best place I stayed at during this long trip. A wonderful stay is not only about the facilities but also (mainly) about the people.One of the amazing GEMs (Guest Experience Manager) at Terrantai is Nicole. She is caring, welcoming and knowledgeable, while perceptive and playful. She pays attention to every detail and truly wants your experience at Terrantai to be the best. She takes it personally and it shows. I felt she particularly paid attention to people traveling alone, like me.Nicole even followed up with me after I left Terrantai – something I’ve never experienced before, having traveled in 31 countries over 15 years.I can’t say enough about Nicole and Terrantai. My room was very roomy, comfortable and well laid out. The hotel feels both spacious yet private. The mixture of old and new is done quite flawlessly. From handpicked river rock walls and wood ceilings to modern bathrooms (which, as well as the normal toiletries, had a shoe cleaning box). From handmade weavings at the bottom of each bed to key chains representing local petroglyphs. With view to private plant-filled courtyard from naturally lit bedroom space.Upon entering the room, there is a Welcome Letter addressed to you personally, explaining all you need to know from mealtimes to check-in and check-out times as well as Wi-Fi password, etc. The hotel has three daytime courtesies: Snacks from noon to 4pm, teas from 4 to 6pm and wine tasting from 7 to 9pm. A great way to mingle with others while tasting local offerings.I was offered a nice aluminum water bottle upon arrival and used it for the rest of my trip. I was too busy traveling to use the Spa or pool, but both areas were very clean. The breakfast was adequate, though I never used the full breakfast as I had to leave very early. As stated above, I can’t say enough about this place and its staff. I would gladly return and wished I could’ve stayed longer.   Terrantai was definitely one of the highlights of my time in San Pedro de Atacama! Nicole, Catalina and the whole team were incredibly welcoming, friendly and always happy to help.The hotel is beautifully designed to reflect traditional Atacameño architecture, giving it a really authentic, homely feel rather than that of a typical hotel. They also offer some lovely experiences for guests, including opportunities to sample local wines and food, and the breakfast each morning was fantastic!Such a special place with wonderful people.   Ticks all the boxes

  This lovely Hotel ticks all the boxes. It’s just a block away from the Main Street, which is far enough to be quiet but close enough to enjoy all its conveniences. The decor is amazing … traditional ceilings in the main building and riverine stone walls throughout. Our room was small, but well kitted out and had our own private garden to provide green space. All the staff were friendly and helpful, especially Carlos who attended to all our needs. The hotel has three daily events for guests: lunch snacks, afternoon tea and evening wine tastings. Breakfast is from 4am to cover the early morning tours. Great base to explore Atacama.   Hotel is located in an amazing spot in downtown. Rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast is amazing. Service is really cool. They take such good care of you.
