  I usually evaluate a hotel based on the comfort of the bed, cleanliness of the room, and security. From that perspective, the City Express by Marriott was a pleasant hotel. However, my stay was marred by several small inconveniences.Starting with the shuttle bus pickup, I waited an unusually long 45 minutes. I tried to communicate with the hotel via WhatsApp, and although their response time wasn’t always prompt, we eventually figured out the pickup time and location. Unfortunately, they didn’t inform me about the type of shuttle bus that would be used. While searching for a clearly labeled ‘City Express by Marriott’ shuttle bus, I missed a standard white van that resembled a tour company’s vehicle. As it turned out that van was already full and I would not have been able to get on it anyways. Despite this oversight, I arrived at the hotel, just a bit later than planned.The front desk staff was apologetic and offered me a late check-out for the following day. This was a convenient solution since I needed a secure place to store my suitcase while exploring the city, and my flight wasn’t until the next evening. Their prompt response was a positive sign, especially considering my initial negative impression.The next morning, I was in the shower when I discovered that both the shampoo and conditioner tubes in the shower were actually both conditioners. Fortunately, I had brought my own shampoo, but I still had to get out of the shower, retrieve my suitcase, and fetch my shampoo.Next, when I attempted to raise the window covering, the chain broke. While this was a minor issue, it added to the overall sense of inconvenience during my stay.I attempted to leave the room and head downstairs for breakfast, only to find that the room door wouldn’t lock. Fortunately, I had used the deadbolt and extra security latch the previous night. Despite my efforts, the door would not lock. Since I had my suitcase and camera bag in the room, I couldn’t leave them behind with an unlocked door.I picked up the phone in the room, only to discover that the landline wasn’t plugged in and I couldn’t find any outlets to plug it in. It seemed like the phone was merely a decorative piece. Since I didn’t have the phone number for the front desk, I couldn’t call them on my mobile phone. So, I sent them a WhatsApp message.Five minutes later, I received a reply that they would inform the staff. I explained that I had an appointment in a short while and needed the door fixed immediately. Fifteen minutes later, the reply came through: “Now no arrive the staff.”I had to take my suitcase and backpack downstairs to the front desk and ask for another room. To my dismay, I was informed that the staff wouldn’t arrive for another 20 minutes. When I asked why I wasn’t told that with the initial messages, I got no response. I was given another room, but I only had time to drop off my suitcase and camera bag before heading out to catch my Uber. Oh well, no time for breakfast.These small inconveniences added up to a very unpleasant stay.   Great value, free transfer, nice staff and free breakfast. You'd be hard pushed to find anything like this on offer in many cities across the world.   All right. Did the job.

  It was okay. It's right next to a parking lot full of airport busses and a lot with dead grass, the hotel itself is surrounded by a fence and there's no outdoor spaces to speak of, sort of felt like I was going into a prison. Inside the lobby is a strong smell of cleaning solution that gave me a headache after an hour. But the room was comfortable enough. Loved the dest +office chair! Gym was good! Shower smelled a bit like sewer but not too much. Bed was comfy and clean! I slept very well. I was bummed the windows in the bedrooms don't open at all. So no outdoor space and NO outdoor air. (But you're right next to an airport, so that's probably not as bad as it sounds.) Staff is very nice, polite, helpful and personal. 5 stars to the staff. Food: Dinner was good. Breakfast was underwhelming, especially for someone gluten intolerant.   Good airport hotel, with some attention points

  The hotelIs located in the middle of nowhere, in an industrial location next to other hotels and companies. 5 mins away fromThe airport, too far away from downtown.The people at the reception and at the bar are all very nice and supportive.The room was medium size, well equipped for international standard, just unforgivable, in a hot country, not to have a frigobar in the room.Cleanliness was good, although not at max level.The “shower” jet in the si k of the bathroom was just disappointing.Good shower, although the jet had no orientation possible.
