    First night in Chili

    rating11 Dec 2023

Eurotel El Bosque is a 4* hotel in Las Condes, the business area of Santiago. It is surrounded by 5* hotels. We only stayed one night before traveling through Chili and the hotel fitted the bill perfectly. The room was well fitted and quiet, the bed was comfortable and I slept like the dead. Breakfast was standard. I would be happy to return

    Good base in Santiago

    rating30 Nov 2019

The hotel is located in the Las Condes district, a few km. NE from the centre of Santiago. The taxi transfer from the airport took about 30 mins. I stayed 4 nights B&B prior to a cruise. Note ... the hotel does not have a restaurant. At check-in, I specifically confirmed that the room I’d been allocated had a bath ... it did not. I was swiftly moved to another room which not only had a bath, but had a much more pleasant outlook overlooking the hotel’s lovely little garden & patio, albeit surrounded by high rise buildings! The room had a small kitchenette (I don’t know if all rooms have one), but this proved to be sparingly-stocked. Even the kettle was missing, as was the ironing board, both of which were obtained from the room I was initially allocated! I was provided with coffee & milk. I don’t know how busy the hotel was, but there were few people at breakfast during my stay. The food & beverages on offer were good & excellent omelette was made to order. I was in Santiago during the civil protests / state of emergency & the staff were very kind & helpful to me. Although the city centre was off-limits, I was able to explore the Metropolitan Park (c.20 mins walk) on foot & using the funicular & teleférico / cable car. The views of the Andes Mountains & city from the park’s San Cristóbal Hill are fabulous. Not Good

    rating05 Apr 2019

Location was good. Basic stuff was (nearly) all OK. Staff helped with change for taxi when we arrived. Pretty bad for taxi as wasn’t huge note, but hotel has no chance to help either. It is absolutely terrible to have no hot water when you wake at 4:30am for an early flight. Took about 20min to fix (assume boiler went out??) Boutique-like

    rating09 Feb 2019

We stayed here for a couple of nights and were satisfied; it is not close to most tourist areas, but there were plenty of restaurants nearby and our tours picked up and dropped off so no big deal. The morning breakfast buffet was OK; not too large and the scrambled eggs were runny (seemed to happen in most of South America for us). Room was not very large, but that isn't something that we worry about. Trapped in history

    rating06 Jan 2019

The hotel overall is in a nice location, however it has several problems when it comes to its overall picture. The staff I found friendly but a bit dodgy, but perhaps it's due to my relatively weak Spanish as I could mostly communicate with them in Spanish only. The design of my room is pretty much 80's style, which wouldn't be bad overall of course as it can be entertaining as well, however unfortunately several things did not function as they were supposed to. The toilet-malfunctioning was the most annoying thing, which I mentioned right upon my arrival. Instead of calling the maintenance or switching me to another room, the receptionist boy came up and showed me how to dismount the toilet and what to press if I want to flush it... that did not sound too professional. The breakfast is quite weak.Other bad experience was when I was leaving early morning, at the check-out the night receptionist really wanted to sell me a taxi ride, although I was using an app. Whilst I was waiting for the driver, he was continuously convincing me and it wasn't a good experience at 3am.
