    This is a hotel when you are passing through Santiago, the entrance does not look like a hotel and does not look great. But, the reception staff is extremely friendly, they helped us with information, taxis and prepare breakfast at 3 am (amazing)The hotel does not have good maintenance in its corridors, but the rooms are very clean, however, wears earplugs, there are classes of zumba and it is a lot of noise Originally submitted in Spanish on www.tripadvisor.es.     Not exactly a hotel, but an old school. Huge with du and its dance hall/painting/activities/seminars. Very loud. Despite the description of “junior suite with city views” there is no suite! And no view of anything but the walls of the buildings!. The breakfast (included) was not too bad but the tables located in a kind of corridor with plenty of draft! The bath towels were grey, the water was not often hot. No laundry/cleaning service. But one the damage was at 900 meters (very kind ladies) Originally submitted in French on www.tripadvisor.fr.     We initially booked for two nights but circumstances changed and we stayed for five.The room was simple and clean. Bathroom was functional with good water pressure and plenty of hot water for the shower. The air conditioning was quiet and effective.The beds were comfortable.We found the staff friendly and helpful and tolerant of our minimal Spanish.The breakfast was simple, scrambled eggs, toast, yogurt, juice, coffee etc. There was plenty available. This is a no frills, friendly and good budget hotel.

    Nice, retro hotel, in a retro neighborhood...

    We slept in the hotel several times in the last month. This was our base. The surroundings of the hotel are not friendly at first sight. Retro... But every evening we walked outside in the neighborhood. We always felt safe. There are excellent restaurants and bars in the area. (Palacio del Vino, Ocean Pacific's Buque Insignia) And many pubs and restaurants. Most attractions are within walking distance. The interior of the hotel is also retro, converted into a local museum. The staff is kind and helpful. The rooms are adequate if you accept that they are not today's 4*. If you stick to the standard 4* hotel, this is not your hotel. The bed was comfortable. It was 35 degrees - there is air conditioning (loud), but the night is pleasant with the window open. There is a package room where we left our luggage. The breakfast is simple, but there were 2 types of ham, 2 types of salami, cheese, jam, muesli, fruit and the usual drinks. You can make French toast...(Croque monsieur) Few people speak English. If you don't pay in kp and USD, they charge 18% VAT. I did not regret that we slept here for 10 nights (more details)
