the location was perfect in las condes, accessible transportation nearby (metro tobalaba) so you could go to the historic centre and other parts while staying far from the noise and crowds.the atmosphere of the hotel was chill at all times, it was cosy and the staff were always attentive. the only issue was that (properly warned by the concierge) some floors were affected by the maintenance works during weekdays (was there from friday to early monday so little disruption since we also spent the days out). the room shows a bit of aging and it had a soft remnant of weed smell (though it might've come from outside if the windows had been left open during cleaning/turnaround). the breakfast offered the basics in savoury and sweet options as well as both filtered coffee and latte machines. the food at the restaurant was really good as well. unfortunately did not have the time to try other amenities but overall a good experience. Disgusting bathroom and unbearable smell

A very unpleasant experience. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting and had a terrible smell that spread throughout the entire room. We had to endure the odor all night, which made it extremely difficult to sleep and feel comfortable. Basic cleanliness should be a minimum standard in any hotel, and unfortunately, this hotel fell far below expectations. Very disappointing stay and I would not recommend it. How this hotel obtained a five star rating is beyond me.Booked it and arrived to be told that it was not possible for me to have a room an hour and a half before the arrival time. Then I was put in a room below where building work was being done, without being told beforehand that it was taking place when I booked. The room was changed and then I discovered that it wasn’t possible to flush the toilet with paper. It blocked and there were no signs to form the guests. Bear in mind that this is a reasonably new building. I was told it’s not possible to flush toilet paper in Chile which is strange because I’ve managed it everywhere else. I also couldn’t put anything on my room because I used a debit card to pay instead of a credit card which I don’t have. In the 21st century, normal hotels take a hold on an amount but apparently this isn’t possible at this hotel. Because of that I received a phone call at 7.30pm insisting I pay for my laundry before they deliver it. What were they expectingme to do, skip town over the money for cleaning six sets of underwear, two T-shirts and a pair of jeans. This could and should have been settled at a more reasonable time.No slippers in the room like a normal 5 star hotel which is annoying when you want to go to the pool. No mini bar price list 2200 pesos for a coffee in your own room??? 5 star service? I think not.The lifts take forever to arrive. The breakfast buffet is like something you’d expect in a 2 or 3 star hotel. The food is ok but it’s a free for all with no waiters, not even for a coffee or a tea. Again, nowhere near five star service. On the positive side, the room was clean and spacious and the fish I had in the restaurant downstairs was delicious and the staff were great. Location is good for Providencia which is a nice area of town to stay in. Parking is good below the building although the lifts don’t all go straight to reception but I think this is in hand. In short, if you want a real five star hotel then I suggest you book elsewhere, because this is one above the front door only, and definable not inside. Best location you can find in Santiago. Very nice hotel, spacious rooms, everything is spotless. I was traveling by myself and I felt safe and relaxed in this hotel. They have the best breakfast, an unbelievable amount of different foods with many healthy choices. The service is absolutely amazing. Beautiful hotel in a great location but...

The Plaza Hotel del Bosque Ebro is a beautiful hotel in a great location. Room 1201 is very quiet and spacious with a desk and pocket doors to close the bedroom from the 'working room'. It's clean. And quiet.But our reservation did not include breakfast. When we checked in, at ~ 1 am, the receptionist said that our reservation included breakfast. I didn't question the apparent discrepancy as I have 3 hotel reservations on the trip and assumed I was confused, especially given the hour and the ~ 18 hours of travel time. When we checked out, it was apparent that the 'included breakfast' was at an additional $80 ($20/day, for a breakfast that I didn't need because I was attending a conference at a near-by location, which offered breakfast.)The other problem was that there is construction occurring at the hotel both apparently on the water system for one day that we were there, and on the 17th floor (where they are constructing an 'event' venue, with the pool and outdoor terrace). But notice of the construction was not provided at the time of booking. And the water system construction resulted in NO WATER one morning. So no shower on the 12th floor. But the shower in the gym was available, 13 floors away.There is a lovely game room, with a nice pool table. But I don't think I will stay here again, even though it is very convenient to where I needed to be and to the subway (which is super easy to use). Just one person's view.
