    Good centrally located hotel

    rating21 Mar 2026

The location of the hotel is very good, central to key sights and restaurants are within walking distance. The rooms are spacious and clean, but could do with kettle and bathroom slippers. Breakfast was also good, but could start a bit earlier. Staff are polite and helpful.

    A wonderful place to stay

    rating16 Mar 2026

I had two stays at Boutique Hotel Ladera in January and February of 2026. I can't say enough about what a great place it is to stay. It is in a lovely area with easy transportation. The rooms are lovely and kept immaculate by the wonderful , kind, housekeeping staff. I do suggest that you wear shower or pool shoes in the shower to keep from slipping on the wet tile. Every person with whom I came in contact was warm, welcoming and very helpful. Something that made me feel very much at home. The breakfast buffet was fresh and plentiful and everyone was very accomodating. I also enjoyed escaping the Santiago heat at the rooftop pool which has a lovely view of the Andes and the Costanera center. I would like to thank the entire staff for making my two stays so wonderful. I know that should I return to Chile I will certainly stay at Boutique Hotel Ladera.

    Comfortable enough but disappointing service

    rating18 Feb 2026

The hotel was clean and modern. The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot apart from on one occasion in the morning. The breakfast was good. The location was very convenient in a nice, attractive neighbourhood. We were disappointed to lot receive complimentary water each day in the room as it was provided when we arrived. (We have learnt that this isn’t normal in Chile or Argentina so fair enough!) And the coffee pods were not restocked. Also they did not suggest an early breakfast/ packed breakfast in our departure day and the restaurant only opened at 7.30 so we couldn’t eat anything. Generally communication was poor. (Maybe partly our fault due to little Spanish.)They would agree to do something and nothing would happen. We would have to chase.

    Ladera disappoints

    rating18 Jan 2026

We had five rooms booked for a family trip with 4 nights planned at Ladera. We were excited to find a hotel that had good reviews, was in a good part of town, and was locally run and not part of a US based chain. Unfortunately, our stay was not as we hoped. The air conditioning did not work in three of the five rooms. As the AC units weren't running prior to check-in, and drapes were left open, the rooms were very warm to start with. Two rooms cooled down, one got to a marginal temp, and two others were so bad that no sleep was possible and had to move rooms. In the middle of summer the AC needs to work when the outside temps are 90F/32C.In addition, the overall feel was of a hotel on a VERY tight budget. The finishes were nice, but some things didn't work or were in disrepair. Some examples: 1) the balcony door in our room couldn't be opened (it was stuck in a part open/but not closed situation and allowed noise in (our room faced a very busy street). 2) There were two small bath towels and a bath mat for each room, no wash clothes or other towels, and were not changed out each day. 3) There were no mattress pads or fitted sheets on the beds. They use a flat sheet as a fitted sheet, but it was too small to cover the whole bed and during the night the base sheet came untucked. It was very weird waking up on a bare mattress in a hotel. 4) There was a large canopy over part of the roof deck/pool area. One corner of the canopy was unsecured and cut off about 1/3 of the patio area for use. We were looking forward to using the pool and patio area, but it wasn't really conducive to groups over 2 people. We decided to move hotels after two nights. We packed up our bags and they held them for us for the day until we moved. At check out I explained our concerns to the attendant at the reception desk and my ask was to have one night (of the two nights we were giving up) refunded. She said she would look into it and see what she could do for us. When I talked to her that evening she said her boss told her she couldn't do anything because we booked a promotional rate which required prepayment of all 4 nights for 5 rooms. I asked that the manager call me to discuss the issue and was told that she would the next morning. No phone call from the manager. I called and left another message for the manager, the next date but no call back. The only reason this rating isn't worse is the staff that we encountered were friendly and attempted to be helpful. But they couldn't make up for the poor facilities.

Comfortable, quiet hotel with good breakfast, but AC not great

    rating25 Dec 2025

Well-situated hotel, comfortable spacious rooms with mini-fridge. The hotel also has a rooftop lap pool with beautiful 360 views, and nice shady courtyard. The breakfast was great - lots of fruit, cereals, pastries, sandwich making,... However the menu for lunch/dinner was sparse, and had very little choice for vegetarians. When we asked about a couple items, they said "sorry, we don't have tofu, don't have quinoa". We had to go to a different restaurant! We were disappointed about the A/C. We set the temperature to 19C, but the room never went below 26C. It's more like a cool fan than A/C. Otherwise the room was fine.
