    Ideal location

    rating17 May 2026

My husband and I stayed here for a night before flying home to the UK after a cruise around South America. We had a refurbished room on the 6th floor which was very spacious and airy. It was very clean and comfortable. However the AC didn’t work and the windows were so dirty it was impossible to see out properly. The staff were friendly and helpful though. We ate in the restaurant and found the food lovely. It was freshly cooked, a decent portion size and very reasonably priced. The location is perfect for exploring Santiago and the HOHO bus stops and picks up from the parking area outside the main door. However, many buildings on the road where the hotel is located were derelict which made the area feel very neglected and locals advised us not to venture out at night as dubious individuals were present.

    The best hotel in Santiago!

    rating02 May 2026

I had just finished a 24 day Galapagos, Peru, Equador and Bolivia trip and spent the last 3 nights at this fantastic hotel. The room was so plush, comfortable, quiet and just what I needed after trekking the Inca Trail, camping and hiking. From the front office staff and in particular Gonzalo who went over and above to Francisco who could not have been more helpful or kind to a solo traveller every morning in their very busy restaurant. The chef there who I think they called Joey, makes THE best omelettes! My whole experience of the hotel was exceptional and made my stay in Santiago brilliant. The views of the city and mountains from my room were spectacular. Not a safe hotel

    rating14 Jan 2026

I stayed in the hotel for a week. Half way through the week some jewellery was stolen from my room. The hotel reception didnt seem very surprised and started an investigation. That let to nothing, as expected. The housekeeping said they know nothing about it and the hotel trusts them and support them fully. This can only mean that other people also have access to the rooms… I didnt feel safe for the rest of the stay with that notion in my head. The hotel employees encouraged me to put all my valuables in the safe before leaving, including ipad, airpods, watch, etc etc. It became a real hustle. The hotel itself has had it’s best days behind, but thats also a question of taste. The room wad tidy but not clean (the floor was never vacuumed in the week i was there), and in general it was all a bit too old to really function well. But this can be acceptable for some people. The feeling of not being safe is another thing, especially if you are traveling alone like I did. The idea of people entering your room whenever and going through your stuff picking up the best (they only took the expensive jewellery) is not a good feeling. I would avoid this hotel, there are enough alternatives in the beautiful Santiago. Great staff but hotel very tired in places

    rating08 Jan 2026

The hotel is I believe in the middle of being updated. We were in what they called a suite, but was basically just 2 rooms with the conjoined door open. One was the bedroom and the other set up as a sitting room. Room was partially updated, but still not great looking, but the hallway walls were awfully scuffed and old. Location is good for walking to Parque Metropolitano and the Funicular.

Better than your typical experience at a Marriott property

    rating20 Nov 2025

I was very happy with my stay at Le Meridien. All the staff were attentive and ready to serve. This was my first time in Chile and the front desk was very helpful in pointing out interesting places to visit. Room was newly renovated, clean, quiet and had ample space. Restaurant had an upscale vibe to it with servers quite responsive despite my inability to speak Spanish. I would book again at this hotel on my next trip to Chile.
