  This hotel is in a great location very safe. The staff were amazing to deal with. The hotel was very clean. It’s very comfortable a great place to stay. As an American being in Chile for the first time, I could not have picked a better hotel. We will definitely be back.   Not fun in NH Santiago

  I am currently staying at NH Ciudad de Santiago with my wife, and unfortunately our experience has been extremely disappointing.We chose NH because we expected a professional and welcoming hotel experience, especially given the price we paid. Instead, from the moment we arrived, we have felt like an inconvenience rather than valued guests.When we arrived about two hours before check-in, I politely asked whether early check-in was available and even offered to pay an additional fee. I completely understand that early check-in cannot always be accommodated. My issue was not the answer, but the attitude. Throughout our stay, the reception staff have appeared uninterested, unfriendly, and unwilling to provide even the most basic level of hospitality. There have been very few smiles, very little warmth, and almost no sense that anyone genuinely cares about the guest experience.The problems continued in our room. The heater was not working when we arrived, which was particularly frustrating given the cold weather in Santiago. Maintenance eventually attended and resolved the issue, but it added to the overall impression that the hotel is not being maintained to the standard expected.The hotel itself is in a good location and the rooms are reasonably comfortable, but customer service has a huge impact on a guest's experience. Unfortunately, the lack of friendliness, professionalism, and genuine hospitality from the front desk team has overshadowed any positives.I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience has been disappointing enough that I felt it was important to share. For a hotel carrying the NH brand and charging premium rates, I expected significantly better service.I would not choose to stay here again.   Basic hotel pleasant helpful staff but some serious problems!Electric jug and coffee machine in room but no coffee, tea, milk or cup! ?? . Breakfast no tea bags had to ask. Luke warm water, cold foods but if get omelette very nice. Hilarious early breakfast, no tea, stale sandwiches and that was it! Truly if intrepid hadn’t put us there we would never stay in such a place.   Unhelpful and slow staff…always with a NO for an answer.

  We had an ok stay, room was big,bathroom was a bit moldy. What we did not like was the bad attitude at the frontdesk.   The front desk staff were not friendly. Even though we had an official email confirming our room, it made no difference — they still gave us a completely different room from what we expected.The room didn’t even have coffee or a coffee machine, and the only water provided was an unsealed bottle.
