    Comfortable room and good location

    rating19 Mar 2026

We had a road facing room on the 3rd floor. The windows were double glazed so we did not suffer from much traffic noise. The room had nice natural light and was surprisingly spacious with two couches, sitting table, 2 chairs and a large bed. The bed was very comfortable and the air-conditioning worked well. The room had a small bar fridge, a selection of wines to purchase and a room safe. The bathroom had a shower in an alcove that was beginning to show its age but it worked sufficiently well. The building is serviced by two small lifts that are quite ponderous. Reception service was good and kudos for a surprisingly good breakfast. The hotel has a popular rooftop bar with a pleasant view. Restaurants and a supermarket are nearby. The hotel has much of what Santiago has to offer all within a 15 minute walk.

    Great location and superb hotel.

The only reason 1 star has been removed is due to the noise from the rooftop restaurant late at night. Otherwise this delightful hotel cannot be faulted. From the lovely spacious rooms, fantastic breakfast and the staff who are so lovely and very helpful. The location is very central. I love this hotel and highly recommend it. Despite the noise, I would stay here again!

The best place to stay in Santiago

    rating30 Oct 2025

The best place we've stayed in a long time. The staff were friendly and attentive. The location is wonderful - central to the city. The room is spacious, comfy bed, great shower and nice rooftop bar/dining.

    10/10 walkability to many stores/attractions

    rating10 Jul 2025

This is a nice, boutique hotel located along Merced, just steps away from the central historical area. It is very walkable to many restaurants, stores, groceries and attractions. It has a small cute reception area. The rooms are nice and decent in size and has a very comfortable bed and pillows. It feels very homey. The black out curtain is an excellent addition. The only complain that I have is that the elevator is not working so we have to bring our suitcases up and down the stairs to get to the 4th floor where you can access the elevator. So try to get the room on the floor where there is an elevator access. It is a minor issue but compensated well by the comfortable bed and blackout curtain.

Very disappointed for a 4 star hotel

    rating11 Feb 2025

This hotel has good points, but unfortunately some quite poor points & when we checked out we were of the opinion they are a "penny pinching" sort of placeThe good - we arrived early after a 14hrs overnight flight from London & the receptionist kindly let us check in & we had a room by 11amThe room was a good size as was the bathroom & the shower was excellent The rooftop bar was nice & the one night we enjoyed a good, reasonably priced dinner. The location was good - 5 mins to the metro & about 10mins to the centre of the cityThe not good - every day of our stay we had to call reception to get the Aircon working. There was a control panel in the room & that didn't work. On each occasion the receptionist got it working within a couple of minutes, without coming up to our room - strange, we began to believe that they had a central controller for every room & would wait for people to call - the temperature during this time was 35c during the day & 20+ at nightThe towels in the bathroom were very thin & again we mentioned it to the receptionist but we never received decent towels. For a 4* hotel this was unacceptable. One day we had none at all so called down & then we're given 2 bath but only one hand towel & no floor/shower matThe shower gel was VERY watery & did not lather at all. We ended up using the soap container from the sink. Again, mentioned it to reception but nothing done - we believe the container was watered downWhilst they provided a coffee machine in the room, if we used it, we would be charged £2 per capsule! We have stayed in hotels in a large number of countries & have NEVER been charged for make your own coffee - no milk was supplied either for the £2!Breakfast got to be a joke - 3 mornings of the 6 days we stayed, the hot food was stone cold. On telling the attendant, no apology was forthcoming & it wasn't replaced. Also they would put large bowls of cut up melon uncovered next to several small bowls of fruit that were each covered in cling film.....what a waste & think of the impact. Finally, they sometimes put the jugs of yoghurt & milk in bowls of iced water & sometimes they wouldn't so if you're in around 8ish or after, for breakfast, the yoghurt would be warm - not too healthy!Would I stay here again? ......No - they only got the 3rd star because of the early check in which was very much appreciated
