    Terrible service. Not informed the room needed to be held with a credit card not debt. Tried to arrange over the phone while partner was there in person trying to check-in in Chile. They cabled the hotel leaving me 1 hour before I boarded a flight to arrange another. Homophobic service and disgraceful.

    Outstanding location and great hospitality

    Visited Santiago last week with my family for a 4 day tourist visit. Hotel was confortable, clean, the hospitality was great, in every sense. But a big plus was the location. It is just 3 blocks away from Costanera Center, the biggest Mall in santiago, and also host to a must attraction, the Sky Costanera, an observation platform located in the 62 and 63 floors of the skyscraper. Also 4 blocks away from the Subway Station, that connects directly to the Downtown. Last but not least, another top city attraction, a trip to the San Cristobal Hill, is made through a modern cable car, which starts at the Metropolitan Park, the fourth biggest Park in the world; and the cable car stop is also a walking distance from the hotel. Hence the excellent location, if you are travelling for tourism reasons.

    I have stayed at this hotel several times over the last 5 years, appreciating as I do the convenient location, the friendly atmosphere, the good service, and the overall value for money. This January I had to spend most of my stay in Santiago recovering from an illness that befell me in NYC, and the staff was exceedingly helpful and accommodating in all possible ways, including with respect to dietary options and meal hours, and swiftly moving me to an even quieter room when the need arose. I am immensely grateful and recommend this unassuming, very comfortable hotel most enthusiastically!

    What we liked about Los Espanoles:(1) Location. In the upscale Providencia neighborhood, but on the "quiet" side of the river that bisects Santiago. It's an easy five minute walk to a subway stop, which means you can be in the heart of downtown in about 15 minutes. It's right across from the river and a lovely sculpture park that borders the river that is good for walking/jogging. You can walk to lots of restaurants, shops etc. yet on the other side of the hotel is a pretty neighborhood of single family homes.(2) Ambiance. This is a low-rise, non-glitzy, garden-style hotel - not a big glass high rise - which felt more pleasant and homey to us.(3) Breakfast. Our rate included breakfast, which was a large and varied buffet with hot eggs, a variety of delicious fresh fruit, cold cuts and cheese, pastries, cereal, rolls, juice, etc., way more than we could eat!The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the mattress was firm. We had some laundry done and it was beautifully folded. Our only complaint was the air conditioner is very loud.Overall a quiet and convenient retreat after exploring the busier sections of the city.

    Something absolutely great about this hotel is their location near the busiest Santiago business area, but far enough from the traffic with a good park for running or walk along the river. They look small but have all the facilities you need for business meetings and conferences, including coffee breaks and lunch. Service is great, they makes you feel at home.
