  Accommodation cancelled without notice 2 days before the trip — absurd!

  I made my booking at VIP Apartments Chile in December 2024, through an agency. Since then, I contacted several times and I was always confirmed that the reservation was active and paid. I have emails from my own commercial manager stating this, including in April 2025.My trip would be from 7 to 11 May 2025, with my husband and our only 1-year-old son — our first international family trip. And to my complete surprise, when I contacted on May 5, just two days before the stay and a day before the flight, I was informed that the reservation had been cancelled — without any prior notice!It was a real shock. If I had not confirmed on my own, we would have landed in another country with a small baby and no place to sleep, even if all the documentation proving the reservation was confirmed and paid.This is an unacceptable level of disrespect with any customer, even more so with a family travelling with a small child. Because of this serious failure, I had to cancel and completely reorganize the entire trip, which has now been rescheduled to August 2025 — with all the losses, plan changes and frustrations that it caused.I do not recommend this hotel. Lack of professionalism and total responsibility. La anulación de la reserva fue realizada el dia 1 de mayo por la agencia de viejes quien debio informarle a usted ya que ellos tienen la información para poder contactarla no nosotros. El motivo de por que la reserva fue anulada la desconocemos, a nuestro sistema solo llega un cambio en el estado de la reserva en este caso (cancelada). La reserva tampoco fue cobrada por nosotros ya que nuestra politica es que si cancela 4 dias antes de llegar no se realiza cobro alguno.Lamento lo ocurrido pero como le comente no esta en nuestras manos anular una reserva que se genero en una agencia de viajes.   Central and economical, but no VIP

  It is a central and economical place. But there's no VIP at all. We were not left with shampoo or bath soap or toilet paper, the toilet costs extra and you have to request it in advance. The check in process was confusing when we arrived at the administration they made us go up to an office with all the bags, which was very late because only a single elevator worked and we are a large group. Then we were lowered and climbed by other elevators because the apartments were in other towers. No air conditioning, just a fan. Originally submitted in Spanish on www.tripadvisor.com.mx.   Ugly place. Pure deception

  Apartments begging for maintenance. Smell of food impregnated in the bedroom and the couch, bad humoured people in the room. I wore shoes all the time around the room and even in the bathroom I wore slippers. I was crazy getting out of there. VIP only the name. If you can, stay somewhere else.   The worst place that we stayed in during our stay in Chile. Apartment is in dire need of maintenance and a coat of paint. Walls look dirty. Linen is clean but very stained and very old. Curtains feel and look dirty. Windows filthy. Balcony dirty. The chairs around the counter are broken. The kitchen is very badly equipped. We were unable to cook as no proper kitchen equipment. They don't service the apartment during your stay. They advertise a laundry yet it was a mission to be able to use it. We asked on the first day we arrived and were given the run around by Katherine (via whatsapp) . We eventually, after a lot of threatening messages to Katherine got a card at 9pm the night before departing to be able to do washing.

  Clean, cosy and centrally located.

  Stayed for 1 night during early February. Apartments are centrally located with cafe's and supermarkets close by.Laundry facilities available.Pool on the top floor with bbq's available.It was easy to get the key and organise payment.Would visit again.
