  I’m both Hilton Diamond and Marriott Titanium. This time I tried to do a comparison between Beijing Lize Sheraton and Beijing DoubleTree since both are rated about the same, the prices are the same, and both are in the west side so I can decide which one to stay going forward when I visit this area again. After i checked in, I was surprised that the hotel doesn’t recognize my Diamond status and no suite upgrade even suites are still available to book. When I stayed at higher end hotels like Waldorf, Conrad, and hiltons, I was always upgraded to a suite due to my Diamond status. The room at DoubleTree is also kind of dated and smaller comparing to the Sheraton. The same can be said for the executive lounge. Later I’ll more about their breakfast and executive lounge food. I’ll add my findings later.   Nice big clean rooms with most of the facilities that every hotel offers. Travelled in a large group and since we had our own chefs cannot comment on the food quality.   I enjoyed staying at this hotel, bed was nice and soft, plenty of space in the room, bathroom was good. Only downside was that the room was cold, couldn’t get the heating to come on and the fridge didn’t work. The breakfast was really good, noodles/fried rice, bacon, pancakes, so much choice of food and drink. The dinner buffet for £20 was well worth it too. Plenty of choice, they’ll cook you fresh ribeye steak and soft drinks/beer was included. Really good desserts too. The staff couldn’t do enough for you. When checking in after a long journey, we got a freshly made hot cookie. Some really nice touches and made the stay enjoyable.   Great stay, best sleep in a long while

  Lovely hotel near to the Financial District and close to the metro station.Staff are friendly, hotel was modern and clean and the beds and pillows were super comfortable.Breakfast was great, a mix of chinese and western options and the evening Chinese buffet was superb!
