    Brilliantly located and a nice modern, functional hotel

    I was a little apprehensive of this hotel as the review score wasn’t great and I think this was possible due to the previous incarnation of this hotel? Not sure. I also had some great stays in luxury hotels across China and this was the last one on our trip. I can safely say there was nothing to worry about. Firstly, and one of the main reasons I picked it is due to the great location. Right across the road from a metro station and a nice shopping area. And 10 mins walk to Wangfujing and plenty of malls, shops and restaurants. It’s very well connected. The room was nice, we booked a slightly higher grade room but to be honest I’m not sure what the difference was. It was on the top floor though. I saw different room designs in photos, one variant had a much more open plan style bathroom with a sink backing onto the bed area, the other which we were in was also open plan but sliding doors to close the bathroom area off. If you enjoy privacy contact the hotel first to check/ask. They didn’t reply to emails and I struggled on WeChat but they did reply promptly through Expedia who I booked with. The room itself was modern, storage was ok but not great, the size was fine. I did find the bed very hard and uncomfortable to the point it impacted my sleep. It is a ‘local’ brand and likely catered towards a firm mattress that Chinese people are used to, after a few nights I did ask if they had a mattress topper or something and my request was met with confusion. However, I got back from the day to find they had installed one and it was so much better! Breakfast was good, a nice selection and staff throughout were friendly. I used the gym once, it was pretty small but functional. No sauna or steam that I saw. Didn’t visit the swimming pool but it looked large from photos. Overall, definitely recommended, it was clean, modern and location was great.

    I stayed here for three nights and I highly recommend this hotel.The room was very comfortable, beautifully designed, and very clean.The staff were very nice and helpful.The hotel is in a great location—walking distance to many shops and restaurants, and a short drive to major sites in Beijing like the Forbidden City.The hotel also has a very nice pool. Just be aware: you must wear a swim cap to use the pool. You can buy one there for a small fee or bring your own.Overall, this hotel offers very good value for the money.

    Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. In a good location for a tourist trip. Friendly staff. Room was large, very well appointed and very clean. Would definitely stay here again.

    Luxury Heritage Hotel located at a famous street, Wanfujing and all important attractions

    This is one of the best hotels I have stayed at. Ultra luxurious and heritage hotel. Located very close to prominent tourist attractions. Tianmen Square, Forbidden city, National Art Museum, Wanfujing street.The room had great views of street and the business centre. It's located just opposite National Art Museum metro station..Line 8 which was well connected to all the tourist attractions.The room was very neat, had thr heritage look and feel. The hotel lobby is grand and luxurious.The restaurant offered international and Chinese local cuisine for breakfast. However had very least vegetarian and Indian food.The staff also didn't understand English. When I asked for Coffee in a takeaway cup, they gave me an empty Cup. However the staff at the reception were very helpful especially the concierge who helped me to translate and write the metro station lines on a piece of paper because of which I used the metro very extensively for my commute.If one wishes to visit the tourist attractions of Beijing then stay on this Street and this hotel.
