Had money stolen from the safe. Worst stay I have ever experienced

    rating09 Jul 2016

I had $700 USD stolen from the safe and when I addressed the issue with the management via phone they just hung up on me. The hotel is awfully dirty and absolutely nothing is functional. The appliances are all old and it does not worth your money by any means.

    Excellent location, awful hotel

    rating29 Nov 2015

We were booked here by our tour company who obviously didn't realise the two buildings were so different. The room was smelly, carpet stained and dirty, the view was a brick wall, the breakfast was awful. When we complained they said we could upgrade for £40 ($60) a night. We said to the reception staff (when I caught one actually awake) that building B was awful and he said 'I know!' The staff in the dining room slumped over mobile phones, in all, it was a sad joke.

Welcome to a chinese Hotel !

    rating25 Apr 2015

"Low price low service" only thing you have to keep in mind. We stayed 3 nights in this hotel to do some tourism in Beijing, we shared a room for 3. The room is fine for a 5 stars with all you need to have some good rest. The bad point is clearly the service in the hotel, the staff doesn't speak english (welcome in china), the reception is unefficient and not pleasant with the customers. We haid to pay a deposit by for a room (quite rare for a 5 stars hotel) and of course it wasn't written on the websites... Fitness center is well equipped but 15mn before it closes the person in charge looks at you with in a threaten way. The main hall and the bar close at 11pm so I had to sit in a corridor to use internet after 11pm ! There is a service which organises tour guide, I dont recommend it to you, it's quite expensive to trap the tourist.

Average - spend the extra $10-$20 and stay in Tower A!

    rating17 Aug 2014

I stayed here for a weekend with a group of friends. Four of my friends got two rooms in Tower A and myself and a friend got a room in Tower B. Tower B is average at best. My friend's mother booked our room on a Chinese website and got the price for almost half the price that you will find on english sites. Keeping this in mind we got a great deal for the location and service. However if you are going by the normal prices I would highly recommend staying at Tower A as I stepped into my friends rooms and felt like I was in a completely different hotel.Tower B felt like 3 star quality at best. However it was very clean and it was a comfortable stay, but it did not look appealing and looked very 'old' and could do with some more of a modern look renovating. It is also in the back of the hotel so you had to walk extra far to get there, and we were on the ground floor and when we opened our curtains we would see kitchen workers bringing in stock and handing dead chickens outside our window.. not particularly welcoming. However when you stepped into Tower A it was VERY upscale, polished wood, flat screen TV (compared to the old big bulky tvs we had), and even cleaner. However the location was good as I said before. 5 minute cab ride from Tiananem square and Forbidden city and there is a tour shop across the road where we booked our tours. 5 minutes walk down the road you will also find some very cheap restaurants with delicious food! The restaurants food was great aswell, and averagely priced.Could not connect to wifi at all in ground floor, so perhaps suggest staying in the higher levels, however in Tower A and in the lobby it was lightning fast!Service was great. In particular there was a young bell boy who went above and beyond for us.My recommendation is pay the extra coin and go to Tower A or find that Chinese website and pay half the price!!
