No WiFi... No Internet... and hotel doesn't care...

Hotel is generally OK, standard Mercure quality; the difference of this one is WIFI DOESN'T WORK!!!!I informed this issue to the hotel management but they haven't done anything...I always had to use GSM data...---Consider this before booking---

This hotel is excellent clean well appointed rooms great Location excellent value friendly staff and the breakfast is something be believed. I been to Beijing before but this is now my new Hotel of choice

I travelled solo to Beijing. The Mercure hotel was located in good reach to several different metro stations which allowed me to visit lots of attractions during my stay. The room was a good size and clean. It had all the amenities you would expect. The breakfast had a variety of foods on offer. I enjoyed my stay at the Mercure and would definitely recommend.

I stayed at this hotel in connection with a 4-day business trip from November 4-7, 2024. The most attractive thing about this hotel is its location. There are attractions nearby. It is convenient to walk to the metro and public transport. There are large shopping malls nearby. The breakfasts at the hotel are decent, mostly in the Chinese tradition, but you can also find European dishes. In any case, do not take coffee for breakfast - it is not coffee, but a brown bitter liquid!The condition of the hotel leaves much to be desired. It needs renovation and renovation of the interior. The rooms are heavily smoky, despite the smoking ban. Local Guests smoke quietly, even in the common corridor, nothing bothers them. The receptionist doesn't take any action to stop it.The most unpleasant thing happened when I was leaving the hotel. When I left the hotel, I left my jewelry in the room. I called from the taxi on the way to the airport, but the desk clerk said he didn't understand English. There was no way to return to the hotel, so I wrote a letter to the reception with a translation into Chinese. Then I sent several more emails a week apart to the corporate email address of the Grand Mercure Hotel. Unfortunately, I haven't received any responses. The jewelry wasn't cheap-an engagement ring and my mom's ring. It's been a long time since I've seen such indifference from the hotel staff, I have a lot of experience, I travel the world a lot. Keep in mind that it is unlikely that the hotel will meet you after you pay for your stay.

Great service, great food, great location, but a bit old rooms

Upgraded to suite room because I have ALL platinum. The service from FO staff Anita and Alina are top notch, they also able to accept my requests. The room is a bit old but very good, very clean and comfortable. Breakfasts are great, so many choices from Chinese menu and western menu. Location wise, very strategic in the city center, walking distance to Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square, near 2 different MRT stations so you can practically go everywhere in the city easily. Definitely will go back if I went to Beijing again!
